Prescribes treatment, such as drugs, physical therapy, dietary regimens, and surgical procedures for diseases and injuries. Coordinates treatment with other specialists. Treats patients suffering from surgical shock, postoperative hemorrhages, respiratory failure, and other complications.
• Manages critical care activities. Formulates plans and procedures for critical care activities. Schedules use of critical care facilities and assigns nurses and medical technicians. Advises on type and quantity of supplies and equipment. Coordinates critical care with other medical activities
