I run the content and research elements of an $8 million projects tracking service and database. This
involves managing a team of more than 50 researchers and analysts in Mumbai and Dubai, as well as
providing sales and marketing support to the commercial and account management teams.
Responsibilities include:
supporting and managing the research team on project coverage and updates
product and brand development
press release and newsletter composition
social media strategy development
strategic advice to various external company boards
conference and media interviews and presentations
database analysis and forecasting
improve and maintain list of key project contacts in region
acting as the “face” of the brand in the region
In addition to managing a team of Dubai-based journalists, duties involved writing daily and weekly news,
feature articles and analysis, conducting interviews with regional personalities, editing copy, conference
chairing and being the “face” of the brand in the region.
involved managing and growing MEED Insight, the $2.5m research and consultancy arm of the
MEED business group specializing in bespoke business solutions, including feasibility studies, competitor
analysis, political risk, market scoping and forecasting, and sector reports.
Responsibilities included:
Oversight of business and product development, marketing, proposal writing, project management
and project delivery;
Management of client relationships;
Recruitment, training and mentoring of colleagues;
P&L of business including budgeting and overall revenue generation;
Media and conference work, including regular appearances on CNN and BBC, events chairing,
webinar and presentation giving;
Maintain list of key contacts in region
Provision of formal and informal political and commercial analysis and briefings to governments,
diplomats, NGOs and international companies

Written commercial reports on MENA oil, power, water, construction, rail and renewable sectors;
Prepared market study for IPO of Saudi Arabia energy company;
Conducted feasibility study for Insead for opening of Abu Dhabi campus, and for HEC for opening of
Doha campus;
Completed market entry strategy for company entering Iraq oil field services sector;
Advised Japanese government on Iranian sanctions regime;
Devised market entry strategy for Brazilian export trade agency to help Brazilian companies enter
UAE tenders market;
Provided report on Abu Dhabi concession renewal process to Asian government
Corporate Investigations, Control Risks, Dubai
Work involved carrying out integrity due diligence on a number of companies and individuals.
Responsibilities included proposal writing, project management and delivery and client relationship building.
Projects completed covered, fraud investigations, market entry assistance, partner screening, and market
advisory services.
Responsible for the sales and marketing of various programs and courses to the EFL market within Egypt.
Duties included the drawing up of statistical information, brochures and program outlines in Arabic and
English for the customer base.
