Reporting to the CEO, I head the HR function for this 6000-headcount company. I directly lead an HR team of 20 across
Recruitment, Payroll and HR Reporting, with accountability for a $1 million monthly budget.
• Saved $600k per year and increased performance by 7% through a restructuring exercise and complete
alignment of job descriptions with clearly communicated KPIs.
• Drove improved behaviours by creating a new bonus structure linked to overall company performance.
• Established new policies for ethical behaviour with clear consequences targeting racism and discrimination.
• Significantly decreased turnover by introducing career progression paths and relevant training to motivate
and drive employee engagement and internal promotions.
• Developed a talent agenda in alignment with company growth strategy. Bought the recruitment process in-
house and created a committee to evaluate senior hires to improve hiring practices and reduce attrition.

Part of the executive management team, leading across administration, recruitment and payroll for 8000 staff. Half of
the workforce were labourers, and it was important that we had a rewards and compensation scheme that fairly
recognised and encouraged the right behaviours.
• Created KPIs for all head office staff (the first time in the company) with a transparent reward structure based
on measurable targets. Supported development with training and individualised career progressions plans.
• Increased productivity and decreased overtime requests for labour workers by establishing daily productivity
targets and implementing a new reward scheme for exceptional effort.
• Established a new company structure to enable quick scaling up for new projects supported by the
development of hiring plans and an annual training plan.
• Introduced new salary scale for labourers in recognition of years of experience.
Efficiently managed HR and administrative affairs devised new corporate policies and achieved deliverable results that
impacted the bottom-line of the organization in record time.
• Played a pivotal role in listing the company on Kuwait Stock Exchange and successfully expanded base of the
company’s shareholders.
• Established long- and short-term corporate goals, standardized associated budgets and devised strategies to
utilize existing personnel to achieve core business objectives.
Spearheaded all activities for devising organizational structure, developing payroll and employee benefit
packages and drafting job descriptions for all positions in the division.
