Project Description:
Al Wakra Main Road upgrade work costs about QR 600 million. This road project that extends for 9 kilometers comes as part of Ashghal’s plan to complete works on the road network in the southern area of Qatar. Works will include widening the road to three lanes, construction of four new intersections and upgrading the existing roundabouts to signal-controlled intersections. Works also include constructing a tunnel, which provides a free traffic flow in both directions. The project also includes the construction of bicycle and pedestrian paths running for a length of 6.1 kilometers.

Responsibilities:
•Review and evaluate specifications and drawings prior to project pre-construction meetings, prepare and assemble pre-construction questions and suggestions for review.
•Conduct site inspections for new projects including civil work, utilities, storm sewers and concrete structures and paving and franchised utility work; record general and detailed conditions by reports, photography, verify compliance with proposed plans and specifications; refer discrepancies with appropriate project staff member; research and verify a variety of information.
•Provide and verify completion of all pre-construction paperwork including attendance, construction project call list, required permits, contact names and phone number.
•Establish and maintain working contact with project staff and contractors; answer questions and provide information to the contractors and project staff regarding project progress and changes
including testing, engineering, planning and established parameters; participate in the collection of various utility information including current and proposed locations; investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints.
•Monitor and record a variety of construction activity including testing, results of phasing and equipment and safety standards; insure correct and accurate installation of equipment and construction materials.
•Coordinate completion of the project; insure completion of all project paperwork; coordinate and undertake one-year inspection with contractors and City representatives.
•Prepare, review and update a variety of reports including daily project reports, monthly pay estimates and project status reports; attend staff meeting as required.

Al Wakra Bypass Expressway costs about QR 2.9 Billion. This road project constructs five interchanges and the construction of an approximately 17 km dual. It starts at Al Mashaf Road and stretches to Mesaieed Road, creating the main bypass to Al Wakra city.

A US $457 million desalination plant in Qatar from the Qatar Electricity and Water Authority. The plant built at the Ras Abu Fontas A1 station. It comprises three facilities and will have a total production capacity of more than 200 million litres of drinking water a day.
•Responsibilities:
•Liaison with the client QA/QC representative in terms of inspections and quality related issues.
•Maintain an updated register for the monitoring and measuring devices on site and ensure the validity of the relevant calibration certificates.
•Ensure that work procedures, method statements and tests are properly understood and carried out.
•Carry out inspections in conjunction with the consultant inspectors and recommend for corrective/protective actions where necessary.
•Monitoring all works closely to ensure that the quality of work is in compliance with the project specifications and the contractor approved documents.
•Ensuring that the work is completed on site in accordance with the contract specifications, contractor approved procedures and method statements.
•Completing all necessary documentation to be included in the project final documentation (Project Dossier).

Combining Saudi Arabia’s rich supply of crude oil with Sumitomo’s expertise in producing and marketing petrochemical prod-ucts, Petro Rabigh utilizes 400, 000 barrels of crude oil per day, and ethane gas processing with its ca-pacity to 1.6 million tons per year. This produces a variety of refined petroleum and petrochemical products - such as heavy and light oil, naphtha and kerosene.

•To reconstruct roads and construct/reinforce sabo and flood control facilities such as sandpockets2 in the lahar disaster areas of Tarlac and Pampanga Province located around the Sacobia-Bamban River middle-basin originating from Mt. Pinatubo, to secure the arterial highway transportation network, and to prevent expansion of the mudflow area. In addition, the project aimed to prevent further disaster through river improvement so that it could contribute to economic growth in the affected area

•Monitor/inspect/supervise the flood control foreign assisted projects consisting of rehabilitation works particularly raising, widening, and repairing of existing asphalt and concrete types of roads, and other works implemented by Department of Public Works & Highways.
•Ensure that works are properly executed in accordance with the approved method statement and conforms to contract specification requirements.
•Prepare various correspondences relative to the project and the likes.
