1) Responsible for Structural Works Supervision in one or various ERGA projects sites in Qatar.

2) PWA/ASHGHAL Approved - ERGA Structural Engineer Supervision Consultant for PWA/ASHGHAL Projects - i.e. RCC MRF Concrete & Structural Steel Framing Building Projects

3) ERGA QATAR LLC specifically Designated Structural Engineer for RCC & Structural Steel Buildings System Structural Repair Work Projects - provision of Structural Assessments, Rectifications, Retrofitting/Strengthening of Existing Framing System, and provision of Design & Repair Materials, Specifications & Applicable Methodologies

4) Review and Approve Contractors Submittals (Construction Drawings, Shop Drawings, As-Built Drawings, Structural Design Calculation Documents, Method Statements, Concrete Mix Designs, Subcontractors Prequalification Documents, and Material Submittals & Samples).

5) Coordination with Architects and MEP Engineers for all Projects related Trades and Interfaces.

6) Response to Contractors RFI for all relevant Civil & Structural Works of the Projects.

7) Attend Technical and Progress Meetings with Contractors.

8) Coordinate with the Head Office for Design and Design Modifications related to Projects Execution.

9) Perform other duties as assigned by upper authority within the scope of qualification & expertise.

10) Responsible for structural designs and analyses, construction executions, and construction supervisions for numerous types of civil engineering works that include Hi-rise buildings, residential buildings, commercial buildings, infrastructures, roads and all other related works.

11) Preparation of Bill of Quantities for Contract Works and Materials Take-outs for Civil & Structural Works - providing actual calculated on-site progress inputs to the ERGA QS

12) Responsible for Survey Works.

13) Responsible for Detailed Designs & Construction Applications of Steel, Concrete, & Road Works.

14) Performing Structural Designs & Analyses utilizing Designs Software: STAADPRO, PROKON, ETABS and other related design programs.

15) Performing Designs & Constructions Applications in accordance with the Projects Building Codes & Specifications Requirements, i.e. BS, EN, QCS, UBC, IBC, ACI, AISC, AASHTO Codes.

1) Assigned within the Design and Engineering Department for the design and engineering review and coordination of Contractors civil, structural, and architectural design works.

2) I was involved in the civil and structural design and engineering review and coordination works of KAHRAMAA - Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion - Phase 10 Substations - KAHRAMAA Contract/Part No. GTC/371B/2010, GTC/371C/2010, GTC/371D/2010

1) Assigned within the Design and Engineering Department for the design and engineering review and coordination of Contractors civil, structural, and architectural design works.
2) I was involved in the civil and structural design and engineering review and coordination works of the FEWA, ADWEA, and TRANSCO Gridstations and Substations projects, including SCADA Control Building project in the United Arab Emirates.

3) Responsible for PMC Design & Engineering review in accordance with the established FEWA and TRANSCO Design and Engineering Standards and Specifications, and with the applications of relevant International Building and Design Applications Codes of Practice.

4) Attend and coordinate the relevant Contractors and Owner/Engineer meetings for the projects.

5) Involved in the provision and generation of the Design and Construction Tender Documents and Drawings for the FEWA Project no. E10-09 - SCADA Control Centre Upgrade Work at UAQ. I formulated and established the required civil, structural, and architectural Design and Construction Scope of Works and Specifications for the project.

6) I was also involved in the Pre-Tender and Post-Tender Technical Reviews and Clarifications of the projects.

1) Involved in the Design and Supervision of the new 3 Billion USD Oman International Airports Project specifically Muscat & Salalah International Airports.

2) Assigned within the Buildings Structural Department as Structural Engineer and engaged in the analyses and design of 50 years life Passenger Terminal Building & Multi-storey MRF RCC Car Park Building.

3) Analyses and design applications of Passenger Terminal Buildings, Multi-storey Car Park Building and other Ancillary Buildings utilizing STAADPRO Ver. 2007 in accordance with BS Norms and UBC 1997.

4) Technical collaborations and discussions with the Design Architects for the analyses and design applications of the above-mentioned Airports Structures.

5) Involved in the provision of Civil & Structural Design Criteria, Specifications & other required documents in accordance with BS Norms Code of Practice, UBC1997, NFPA, EN Euro Codes and other required International Building Design Codes.

1) Supervising and coordinating the Procurement and Construction of Pre-stressed and Post-tensioned Concrete Expressway Bridges for the Royal Commission for Jubail Phase II Infrastructure Projects under the supervision of Saudi Arabian Bechtel Co.

2) Submit to the Royal Commission for approval the required Construction Documents and Drawings for the said project such as the following:

- Detailed Construction Methodologies for each section or division of the project in accordance with the approved Quality Control Programme.

- Design Calculations and Drawings for Sheet Piling Works, Formworks, Falseworks and Scaffoldings.

- Design Calculations for Slope Stability and Dewatering system of Excavation Works including Embankments and Ramps.

3) Technical Coordination, Meetings & Discussions with the Royal Commission Engineers and Consultants.

4) Performed the required Bar Bending Schedules for the project.

5) List and coordinate the required Quantity of Materials for Procurement including coordination with the Materials Suppliers.

6) Performed final checking and assessments of each completed sections or divisions of the project for submission to the Royal Commission.

7) Performed budget and cost analyses of the project.

8) Prepare and submit to the Royal Commission As-Built documents and drawings of the project.

9) Design verifications and analyses prior to final submittal of tender of Civil & Structural aspects including piping & site development works of proposed bids in accordance with acquired tender documents, specifications, drawings and international norms.

10) Performed material take-outs of Civil & Structural aspects including piping & site development works of proposed bids.

1) Managing the Site Technical Office including Design & Shop Drawings & Documents Systems Control utilizing the latest CAD Design Softwares & Local Networking.

2) Supervising the Site Technical Office multidiscipline Staff. Devise design & engineering work schedule for Design Engineers, Designers & Draftsmen.

3) Technical Coordination & Discussions with Sub-Contractors Design Manager & Engineers including verifications of claims on additional works.

4) Conducting regular meeting as required with Sub-Contractors Project & Design Manager and Engineers concerning any Design & Engineering interfaces and applications including any Design Modification Works.

5) Coordinate with the Company’s Head Office in Milan, Italy, concerning the Site Technical Office daily activities including technical correspondences to resolve any Design Problems & interfaces.

6) Technical Coordination & Discussions with the Client’s Plant Design Engineers & Saudi Arabian Parsons Ltd. (the Client’s designated Project Manager) Construction Manager & Design Engineers concerning any Design & Shop Drawings & Documents Submittals, and Design & Engineering problems & multidiscipline interfaces.

7) Prepare & submit to Saudi Arabian Parsons Ltd for approval, as per Contract & Specifications requirements, systems & controls, any required Design & Shop Drawings & Documents Submittals including the required As-Built Drawings & Documents Submittals & Initial Acceptance Documents.

1) As Civil & Structural Design Engineer I was responsible for the analyses & design including applications of all Civil, Structural & Architectural aspects of the 130 MW Steam Power Plant Project.

2) Structural Design & Analyses of Steel & Reinforced Concrete Structures such as Turbine Building, Turbo Generator Foundation, Boiler Building, Transformer Building, Electrical (ESP) Building, Screen Walls & Maintenance Building.

3) Structural Design & Analyses of Dynamic Equipment Foundations such as ID Fan & GR Fan, Large Storage Tanks & Large Sea Water Pipe 3400 ID Catch Basin.

4) Structural Design & Analyses of Retaining Walls, Large Sea Water Pipe Trenches, Box Culverts & Electrical Duct bank & Pits.

5) Civil Design & Analyses of the Plant Drainages & Sewage System such as Acid/Alkaline Drains, Oily Water Drains & Storm Water Drains.

6) Provision of Civil & Structural Design Criteria, Specifications & other required documents in accordance with the Client’s established specifications & codes.

7) Technical discussions & coordination with the client’s design engineers & with Saudi Arabian Parsons Ltd (Client’s designated Project Manager) Technical Manager & Design & Engineering Reviewers.

8) Prepare & submit to Saudi Arabian Parsons Ltd for approval, as per Contract & Specifications requirements, systems & controls, any required Design & Shop Drawings & Documents Submittals including the required As-Built Drawings & Documents Submittals & Initial Acceptance Documents.

1) As Lead Civil & Structural Engineer, I was responsible for the analyses & design including applications of all Civil, Structural & Architectural aspects of the Plant Engineering Division.

2) Leading a group of Civil & Structural Engineers & Draftsmen within the Plant Engineering Division, devise design & drafting schedule for the Outstanding Engineering & Design Works.

3) Check completed design works in accordance with the Plant’s applied Specifications & Contracts.

4) In addition to my technical leadership responsibilities, I am also designing, checking & analyzing major critical Steel & Reinforced Concrete Structures for the Plant such as explosion proof Control Building, Large Piping Supports Structures, Large Water Reservoirs, Flare supporting structures, Caissons, Wharfs, Jettys, Offshore Platforms, Maintenance Building, Heat Exchangers Foundations & Large Storage Tanks Foundations.

5) Civil Design & Analyses of the Plant Drainages & Sewage System such as Acid/Alkaline Drains, Oily Water Drains & Storm Water Drains.

6) Technical discussions & coordination with the plant’s multidiscipline design & construction engineers for any multidiscipline interface design & engineering works.

7) Technical discussions & coordination with relevant Contractors for Design & Engineering queries & clarifications including claims on additional works due to design & engineering modifications.

8) Manage the Design & Shop Drawings & Documents systems & controls; both hard & electronic files.

9) Analyzed & designed complex underwater reinforced concrete repair works for Caissons, Jettys & Offshore Platforms using the latest sophisticated sealing & bonding products.

1) Assigned within the Technical Department as EPC Structural Engineer responsible for all Civil & Structural Designs & Analyses of Industrial Plant Projects including High-rise structural steel commercial building project.

2) Analyzed, designed & verified the structural aspects of the Cement Plant Project in Vietnam, 240 MW CC Power Plant & Steel Mill in Malaysia.

3) Check completed design works in accordance with the Plant’s applied Specifications & Contracts.

4) Responsible for analyses & design of static & dynamic machine foundations including preparation of drawings & preliminary sketches and verification of assumptions & design criteria.

5) Verifications of Tender Documents in view to their content of services & supplies for structural steel and civil & foundation works.

6) Preparation of material take-outs and specifications for the relevant services & supplies.

7) Provision of Civil & Structural Design Criteria and other required documents in accordance with the Client’s established specifications & codes.

8) Technical discussions & coordination with the client & sub-Contractors for Design & Engineering queries & clarifications including claims on additional works due to design & engineering modifications.

I prefer & would seem for me to consider attending seminars on Civil & Structural Engineering Designs & Constructions with an (full-pledge) PhD Instructor with relevant career expertise & experience in Structural Designs & Engineering !

otherwise, just GTH ! LOL!

or i will be the one to conduct the seminars not you BS !
my fee will be much less,
& sure enough my mind could absorb everything in just couple of days ! (you are just day dreaming !)

waking up -- you will surely forget such seminars after some frame of time & you will actually get lost to know how their actual applications are, because experience was & still the best teacher !

and I do not actually believe & realize that such seminars would indeed improve your skills unless you already acquired the relevant projects experience alongside & prior to your attending of such seminars, because the mind would not be able to absorb completely to comprehend the actual applications of such crushed-short-course classroom seminars in the long term, and without actual on-site applications of learning, they will be gone with the wind in your mental memory after some frame of waking-up in the mornings !

I also do not consider to get membership on Civil/Structural Engineering Organizations & Societies, unless it is required on my work (location), and I would gain economic benefit in doing so,
I prefer to consider searching & working on locations with companies providing better income opportunities (compare to other places & companies) !

as for me, it is my waste of time & efforts attending & being a member of Engineering Organization but with lower than the market trend salaries on-offer,

Having a good pay-out is still my governing decisions on my career to live & work abroad -- and not being a member of a prestigious Engineering Organization but with less pay !
