Full Operational and Financial responsibility and accountability. Monthly and Annual Management and Financial reporting. Preparation of annual budget, strategic planning and operational delivery. Monthly Shareholding feedback, preparation of the YTD financial forecast on a monthly basis. Responsible for all operational aspects including marketing, contracts, recruitment, company facilities, transport and administration. Government and Police Liaison ensuring regulatory compliance.
Bidvest Protea Coin Security is the largest security company in South Africa, with 52, 000 staff. BPCS is owned by Bidvest a public company in South Africa with diverse business interests Internationally. Was responsible for all international Operations in 18 countries. Core activities were focused on setting up operations, implementing business processes and procedures and managing the outcomes. Management consulting for various clients.
Coin Security Group was a privately-owned security company that had grown to epic proportions in South Africa. The company as sold to Bidvest in 2004. Having started with them as a branch manager in the Guarding division I progressed to General Management in Cash in Transit and later to Electronic security solutions. The highlight of this period of employment was being appointed as the Chairman’s Personal Staff Officer. This gave me exposure on all divisions in the company and the International Operations. As a result of this exposure I was appointed as the managing director of the armed reaction company. The principle of all the appointments was based on accountability.
Was called up to do national service in 1988 enrolled in 1989 and did basics in the Armoured Corps. Selected
for JL’s during basics and completed JL’s at School of Armour.
After National Service I joined Permanent force and progressed to the rank of Major.
