•Coordinate with project team and interact with client safety management to get permits.
•Conduct periodic Health & Safety Orientation and awareness programs, mock drills to increase employee’s awareness, alertness towards individual safety and health.
•Ensure employees hand tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is regularly inspected and is safe to use. Notify to the manager if it needs to be replace.
•Supervise, inspect in-progress work sites to ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.
•Evaluate situations where an employee has refused to work on the grounds that danger or potential harm exists, suggest optional solutions.
•Communicate if any safety issue, unsafe work practice to senior safety staff and functional managers/supervisors.
•Investigate incident/accidents happened in the organization and send findings to Safety Manager/Engineer.
•Reports incidents of non-compliance to codes and standards, and may recommend corrective actions.
•Under general direction, provide on-site technical support for implementation and administration of a project safety program. Inspects work area, machinery equipment and working conditions for compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
•Maintains records of safety inspections, as well as required follow up actions.
•Maintains inventory of first aid, safety, and fire equipment. May function as first aid attendant, providing first aid care to occupationally injured or ill personnel.
•Assist line management in conducting Toolbox Meetings.
•Prepare Risk Assessments, hazard & Aspect Identification (JSA). Also responsible for permit to work system and staging inspection, confined space, conduct emergency responsible training programs and conducts drills.
•Evaluate workplaces for environmental hazards such as exposure to fire, radiation, chemical and biological hazards, and excessive noise.
Responsible for executing Company’s Safety Policies & Procedures, rectify any Unsafe Acts and Unsafe Conditions. Checking & co-ordinating with departments for new civil construction related tenders.
In addition, I possess exceptional skills in communication, presentation with demonstrated abilities in leading motivated teams to achieve organizational goals.
•Provides safety and loss prevention information, observes work methods and procedures to ensure the conduct of safe hygienic work practices.
•Assist with the development and implementation of safe operating and emergency procedures on projects.
•Conducts regular project safety inspection of operating plant and equipment.
•Participates in incident investigations, including near misses, property damage, injuries, occupational illness and spills.
•Assist with the maintenance of incident record keeping system.
•Participates in safety reviews as required.
•Keeps abreast of new developments, safe working practices, government regulations and relevant international codes practices.
•Participates in safety reviews as required.
•Assist with industrial hygiene surveys to identify and quantify occupational workplace stresses.
•Ensures that safety equipment and facilities are kept in best condition by developing and implementing equipment inspection and preventive maintenance programs, setting up efficient record keeping systems of all equipment under his responsibility and recommends the replacement of defective equipment.
