• Spearheaded offshore fabrication and installation of offshore Pipelines, Flowlines, Jumpers, Risers, Umbilicals, Buoys, 2nos Wellhead Platforms, 2nos Drilling Platforms, 2nos Production Platforms, Living Quarter Platform, Bridges with multiphase production, water injection, gas lift lines and electrical cables.
• Developed and implemented quality programs during Engineering, Procurement, Construction and commissioning phases, gathered new equipment documentation, and rendered assistance during engineering/development phases.
• Executed project quality inductions with staff and prepared presentations to promote good site practices, as well as implementing auditing programs both at site, on-board offshore vessels and at project office.
Scheduled and co-ordinated inspection activities for discipline inspectors at site and informed Site Manager of Quality Surveillance issues, status and metrics. Ensured establishment and implementation of adequate control processes within the Construction sites as stipulated in the Project Execution Plan and the Project Quality Plan. Monitored and co-ordinated Site Quality Surveillance Programmes as well as EPC Contractors plans and procedures. Developed and coordinated Site Audit Schedule and conducted site audits, evaluated and monitored implementation of contractors’ site quality management systems.

• The job included Fabrication & replacement of aged platforms, piping, risers and pipelines, fabrication and installation of offshore and onshore pipelines. Installation of Centrifugal Pumps, Oil skimmers, electric motors, repair work on Clarifiers, Tanks Filters and Drums. Fabrication and installation of the interconnecting piping network.
• Promoted quality awareness, revised contractors’ site quality audit schedule, monitored contractor’s site audit program, and participated in selected site audits. Scheduled and supported inspection processes for discipline inspectors at site and reported to site managers regarding quality surveillance issues, status, and metrics. Worked as Lead multidiscipline inspector for VAM premium thread connections and VAM casing & tubing products at ExxonMobil storage facility Onne Nigeria. Field inspection of used drilling equipment to API RP 7G-2 and Company specifications as well Machine shop tread gauging of recut rotary shouldered connection. Inspection of wellhead and Christmas tree equipment (including - flanged connectors, treaded connectors, cross connectors, top & end connector, casings/tubings and spacer spools. Preservation inspection of VAM tubing and casing joints, connectors, couplings and other accessories.
• Inspected and monitored piping fabrication, installation, hydro testing and leak testing progress. Prepared the necessary inspection reports/certificates and liaises with our client’s inspection team for approval. Maintained a data base of the entire spool conditions based on the NDE reports. Performed coating inspection. Monitored coating activities and ensured that the operation is performed in accordance to the coating procedure. Conducted welding inspection, reviewed NDE records, inspected rigging and drilling equipment.
• Ensured that the fabrication, construction and installation activities are performed per the approved Project Quality Plan, method statements, and project specification/standards, project construction codes including B31.3, AWS D1.1, and ASME section IX etc. Prepared monthly progress/welders’ performance reports and appraisal of the welders based on their performance. Arranged for NDE to be conducted on the fabricated spools. Maintained a data base of the entire spool conditions based on the NDE reports.

Managed and ensured effective implementation of clients’ project quality assurance and quality control management system throughout engineering, procurement and construction project phases. Provided an ongoing leadership interface relationship between the Quality function and PMT. Established a proactive and collaborative working relationships with engineering teams, the sub- contractors, and third-party organisations. Coordinated project quality team meetings and prepared/reported project QA/QC metrics to the QA/QC Manager and Construction leads. Lead and provided QA / QC inputs during development of technical requisitions and bid reviews. • The Job involved Construction of an FPSO, Construction & Installation of FLET, ITA, FLOWLINES & RISERS: This includes Mooring Piles for FPSO, offshore platforms, bridges, mud mats & jacket and flare columns, Flowline Piles, SPOOLS & JUMPERS. Inline Tee Assemblies (ITA)-: this includes Water injection ITA with one Hub (TW1) and with Two Hubs (TW2) respectively, ROV platforms, FLET (Flow line End Termination: Including Production, Gas injection and Water injection FLET (FP1, FG1, FW1 & FW2) respectively. It also included fabrication and installation of wellhead manifolds, monitored and inspected pigging operations.
• Possesses extensive knowledge and experience of mechanical, welding, civil, structural, E&I QA/QC processes and techniques. Reviewed Sub-contractor / supplier quality deliverables for conformance to Clients’ quality requirements and expectations. Participated in preparing and reviewing Material Requisitions, PQP, PEP, ITP, WPS, WQT, Critically Rating assessments and Quality control procedures. Chaired Pre-Inspection Meetings to ensure that the quality requirements and expectations are fully understood and implemented prior to commencement of work activities.
• Coordinated site and workshop inspection activities and assign adequate inspection resources to effectively measure conformance to requirements. Managed the implementation of project Quality verification plans to ensure ongoing project compliance. Participate in QA assessments, audits and verifications on PMT and Sub-contractors’ procurement, construction and quality processes. Evaluated and monitored the performance of project QC inspectors and identified training requirements to continually improve the performance of the Project Quality Team. Ensured mechanical acceptance readiness, and compliant project completion.
• Lead the NCR management process for identified non-conformances - which included NCR / CAR issues, RCFA, disposition approval and the subsequent close-outs. Provided SME support and recommendations in relation to materials / welding and NDT where necessary. Coordinated and lead internal QA / QC meeting with the project Quality team, as appropriate. Made online decisions as regards project quality issues & concerns and escalated significant issues to Quality manager. Collated inspection reports from inspectors on day & night shifts, reviewed the reports and followed up issues raised to closure. Participated in the WPS qualification, daily weld follow-up for the SMAW & FCAW welding processes. Checked the availability of applicable WPS and PQR for each job stage, Identified and logged welding consumables and confirms their compatibility with project specified relevant certificates, monitored welding parameters during welding activities per WPS.
