Consultant Research Scientist at Ocean Life Science Corporation
  • India - Delhi
  • My current job since April 2023

Review and Planning of different research projects of microbiology and molecular biology.

Senior Research fellow at National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms
  • India
  • August 2016 to March 2023

Planning and execution of assigned research project entitled "microbial diversity analysis of extreme/ unique niches of India"
Responcibilitues
Different microbiological techniques are employed for the isolation and characterization of bacteria.
Bacterial strains were identified using Polyphasic approaches including 16S rRNA gene sequencing, morphological analysis, serotyping, carbohydrate typing, biochemical tests, and FAME analysis.
The utilization of food and other industries involves the screening and quantitative analysis of various enzymes, such as amylase, cellulase, chitinase, protease, lipase, and more, which are secreted by microbes.
PCR is commonly employed for gene amplification, including 16S rRNA, acds, iaa genes. Additionally, horizontal GEL-electrophoresis is utilized for analysis of nucleic acids, such as extracted genomic DNA and RNA from microbes and other amplified genes.
Use of molecular cloning techniques to amplify and manipulate many genes including acds and iaaM, subsequently inserting them into vector to facilitate replication and protein expression.
Molecular techniques and SDS-PAGE are employed for the extraction and purification of proteins.
