Oversee credit and collection functions including policy development and customer rating determination. Establish process for credit proposals and review relevant documents as per organizational policies. Managed Credit Cards Policy & Portfolio across the Credit Cards Risk and Security Unit. Worked towards mitigating credit risks / fraud. Supervised utilization of credit risk appetite and ensures transparent bank-wide reporting. Established credit risk models in line with of regulatory rules. Ensured that bank's credit procedures & practices as aligned with international best practices.
Mentored 15 staff in the Security and Risk Management Unit / Production Unit. Undertook appropriate actions for all card cancellation requests by customers received through various BSF branches. Ensured immediate blocking or stopping of cards in cards operations system, as listed in the Lost/Stolen Card Reports. Reviewed periodical MIS report to the management regarding various issues. Resolved issues concerning customers classified as Very Important Persons (VIP) including declined transactions. Designed Issuing and Acquiring training materials for effective and efficient fraud controls. Conducted analysis of all fraud transactions incurred monthly and executed actions to prevent recurrence.
Provided oversight and direction to a team to process corporate staff cards / loan applications of more than 60 government, semi-government, and private entities. Authenticated information provided to ensure the applicants meet required criteria including checking Credit Bureau report - SIMAH. Coordinated with regional offices for development of databases / logs / records. Updated Management Information System (MIS) for management.
