Highlights
• Completed the first subsea wells suspension program of PETRONAS across the world in the Chinguetti field in Mauritania
• As Senior Drilling Engineer, contributed the design of the wells suspension covering 15 subsea wells in water depth ranging from 500 m to 800 m in the Chinguetti field.
• As Night Drilling Supervisor in Malaysia contributed to the first production testing of a deepwater well of PCSB Malaysia
• Worked as Night Drilling Supervisor and participated in the first pressurized mudcap drilling (PMCD) operations in deepwater production testing in PCSB Malaysia
Responsibilities
Night Drilling Supervisor - Mauritania
• Led the team in selection and contracting of the rig with intervention system for P&A campaign in the Chinguetti field
• Joined the drillship Pacific Santa Ana in the Gulf of Mexico, supervised rig survey, installation of subsea intervention system, stacked-up the tree running tool (TRT) test skid, TRT, adaptor spool, lower riser package (LRP) and emergency disconnect package (EDP). Verified all control fluids to NACE 6 standard and conducted SIT of subsea intervention systems. Supervised the positioning of reels & equipment in final positions for the voyage to Mauritania.
• Joined the rig in Mauritania and supervised the installation of Halliburton coiled tubing spread, well test (flow-back) equipment, slickline/wireline equipment and rig-wide H2S cascade system.
• Executed temporary well suspension works for 15 subsea wells (H2S wells) covering the following activities: evaluated integrity of tree cap/swab valves, cleared any present hydrates prior to removal of tree caps, removed tree caps, land & latch of IRS, evaluated FMC OXT valves, killed the well by bullheading (used coiled tubing to mill hydrates and cleaning wax build-up in several wells), conducted slickline runs to drift & run and set RPT plugs (deep set); conducted pressure tests/inflow tests of first barrier plugs, pressure tested & qualified OXT as a second barrier, unlatched & moved off to safe handling zone (SHZ), reinstalled & pressure tested the tree cap and moved the rig to the next well with the IRS system still deployed to subsea.
Senior Drilling Engineer - Mauritania
• Worked in design of well suspension for 15 subsea wells in the Chinguetti field
• Supervised integrity testing of Christmas trees (XT) on board the FPSO and detailed design of well suspension as per NORSOK D010 standard.
• Co-facilitated the risk assessment session for well suspension operation and preparation of risk mitigation plans.
• Completed fast track contracting for engagement of resources - dual activity rig packaged with IRS, 2 work class ROVs and 1 supply vessel - with attractive “one down all down” contracting terms leveraging market scenario for deepwater rigs
Night Drilling Supervisor - DSM-1 6th Generation dual activity rig, Malaysia
• Drilled, production tested and suspended an appraisal well. Supervised jetting of 36” conductor, drilled ahead and killed shallow water flow using DKD mud, set 20” surface casing, drilled 17-1/2” and set 13-5/8 casing, drilled 12-1/4 to coring point; core with 8-1/2” open up with 12-1/4 bottom hole assembly (BHA) and set 9-5/8” liner. Ran Metrol single trip DST assembly and conducted drill stem test (DST)
Night Drilling Supervisor - Noble Bully-2 dual activity rig with Huisman derrick, Malaysia
• Drilled and P&A of an exploration well - the first PMCD deepwater well of PCSB in Malaysia involving drilling with PMCD through a shallow carbonate section due to total losses and narrow margin procedure and/or managed pressure drilling (MPD) for deeper sections
Senior Drilling Engineer/Night Drilling Supervisor, Sabah Drilling (PCSB), Malaysia/Brunei/Myanmar
Night Drilling Supervisor - 15K Jack-up Rig PP101 (designed and equipped to drill high temperature high pressure wells as deep as 30, 000 ft capable of operating in water depths up to 400 ft), Malaysia
