I academically advised students under 45 credits. Students were helped on a first come first serve basis, or in larger groups.
Responsibilities: I answered all their inquiries in detail, curated the proper class schedules for each individual, and guided them toward a successful college career at GUST. I reported to the head Junior academic adviser at GUST. I was rewarded a certificate of excellence by my boss for the work I did and received a promotion during my employment.
It was a part-time position that required interpersonal skills, effective communication skills and I built great rapport with a variety of students. I worked independently as well as supervised newer student advisers after being promoted. I employed problem solving skills, flexibility, patience, and quick attention to detail to properly identify students' needs.
Graduated with honors and was awarded a certificate for excellent grades prior.
