Deliver electrical engineering services that meet customers, and applicable statutory and
regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
Responsible for site engineering activities and providing technical assistance to the
construction supervision team.
Oversees the preparation of project/contract drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
Provides technical guidance to electrical engineers, CAD designers/drafters, and designers working on the same project.
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity following organization and/or project objectives.
Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies, and procedures as appropriate.
Experience with ETAP study (Load Flow, Short circuit, and Motor Starting Analysis).
Review and comment on the contractor's submittals, technical queries, field change
documents, and other technical documents including Drawings and As-Builts.
Responsible for reviewing the Contractors’ submitted daily reports and shall escalate
discrepancies in their records.
Reports any construction issues (constructability, safety, quality, Contractor interface)
to their supervisor immediately and assist in their closeout.
Supervise vendor representatives' site units for checkout / pre-commissioning of equipment and any other special testing or maintenance requirements.
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity following organization and/or project objectives.
Perform engineering reviews of construction design, specifications, documents,
calculations submittals, and coordinate with the work of other disciplines.
Provide a comprehensive construction management service to provide technical advisory capability for joint and host nation programs and projects.
Led and performed analysis, design, and documentation of electrical systems including
power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm, security, audio/visual, and telecommunications systems.
Inspect the completed installations and observe operations to ensure that the permanent works are constructed according to the contract, applicable codes,
standards, approved drawings, and specifications.
Prepare specific electrical SOW (Scopes of Work) requirements on multiple projects.
Leading assessment, quality assurance, maintenance, and safety audits as required &
implementing audit findings/gaps within the specified time frame for acceptance.
Participate in meetings between the government representatives and Construction Contractors & track all construction contractor submittals.
Monitor contractor/subcontracts to ensure scope, cost, schedule, and quality are within
contract requirements.
Review and approve electrical design drawings, specs, BOQ, calculations, finishes, and materials.
Evaluate the desired goals of the electrical system and review designs and selections of equipment and power controls to achieve those goals.
Knowledge of Electrical codes (British Standards, NEC, Ministry of Electrical and Water
(Kuwait) MEW, NFPA 70, IEC) and federal standards (UFC &Sand book).
Installation and Commissioning of HT/LT Generators & ATS Systems, HT switchgear
consists of VCB, SF6 breakers, PMCC/MCC, HT/LT Motors, and HT/LT cables. Instrument devices, Protection Relays & Control Circuit.
Installation and Commissioning of VFDs, Soft starters, and Frequency Converters.
Installation and Commissioning of 33/11 kV & 11/0.433 kV Power/Distribution
Transformers.
Installation and Commissioning of UPS System and Battery Charger System.
Installation of electrical MLTB, MDB, and DB panels, Lighting, wiring at commercial projects, and streetlights.
Installation of building lighting, Power, cable trenching, cable tray, conduit, and Lightning protection system.
Testing and commissioning of SCADA System, Workstation, PLCs (Siemens S7- 200/300/400) Omron, DCP panels, HMI interfaces Switches, and Fiber Optics cables.
Installation of Fire Alarm System, UPSs, and Battery Chargers.
Erection, Testing, and Commissioning Highway Street Lighting and Water Pumps.
Development of load calculations for sizing electrical distribution components.
Ensures that all the works are done following the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national, or international standards.
Review of electrical work progress following project schedule, coordinate and
monitor the assigned project progress and challenge below-par performance of the
contractor.
Carrying out calculations & design for Lighting, Power Supply, Emergency Lighting, Fire
Alarm, Low Voltage systems & transformers.
Preventive and breakdown maintenance of HT/LT Motors, ACB/VCB, HT/LT Panels,
Switchgear, Soft starter, MLTB & MCC Panel, and Lighting Systems.
Maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS System (Invensys), Foxboro Fieldbus Modules,
PLC’s (Allen Bradley), and control system process P&IDs.
Preventive and breakdown maintenance for Hydraulic Valves, Different types of
Instruments like DO & PH meter, Flow & Level Meter, Actuator valve, Telemetry system,
UV System, Automatic Actuator Valve, Pneumatic Valve.
Tested and maintained computer-related industrial electronic control systems and electrical components.
Responsible for implementation and monitoring of all electrical-related works.
