Programs (A.ACD-P) provides strategic leadership and direction for Country Office programs; both development and emergency. CARE Jordan’s humanitarian response strategy includes managing a protection program in urban settings that target both refugees and Jordanians in the towns of East Amman, Irbid, Zarka, and Mafraq and Azraq towns. The program enhances the resilience of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians impacted by the refugee crisis, through strengthened social, economic and psychosocial wellbeing activities.

The urban protection program consists of information provision, case management, and emergency cash assistance, distribution of non-food items, and conditional cash for education, psychosocial support, and contributions to enhance livelihood opportunities. The program portfolio is around $14 million and it’s funded by ECHO, DFID, DFADT, NIN, OLAYAN, DEC, DIBP, MOFA Germany, PRM and ADA. Responsibilities include:
•Ensure management of programs are in line with CARE policies and procedures, donor requirements and on track to meet objectives
•Design country office’s strategy, partnership framework, advocacy and coordination with all stakeholders
•Ensure proper management of financial and other resources entrusted to the relevant program, including the review and approval of budgets and monitoring budget reports
•Ensure qualified staff and appropriate policies, procedures and systems are properly allocated to manage the program.
•Ensure timely production of reports to stakeholders based on agreed standards
•Review and ensure that the most efficient management structure is established for program quality and proper stewardship of CARE's resources

CARE's Iraqi Refugee Program assists Iraqis coping with displacement while awaiting a durable solution. CARE has a program approach which brings together different donor funded projects to provide a range of interconnected services for refugees as well as vulnerable Jordanians. The program provides cash and material assistance, psychosocial activities, vocational trainings, and case managements, to vulnerable population. It also provides trainings and coaching to local CBOs. Iraqi Refugee Program Portfolio: US$3Million funded by BPRM, ECHO, DIAC.
