• Implementation of the country-specific extension programs to promote postharvest technologies with the goal of quality improvement and loss reduction
• Collaborate with the Gender and Social Inclusion Advisor to identify and implement inclusive strategies in partnership with the private sector.
• Responsible of efforts to improve value-addition and PHH related to high and/or nutritious value chains and food products
• Facilitate capacity building for Large, Small and Medium Enterprises (LSMEs), as well as smallholder farmers, cooperatives, aggregators, agro-dealers and, agro-processors in improving their post-harvest handling and food safety.
• Collaborate with the Market Access Advisor to improve food safety and handling issues at marketplaces

o Ensuring the quality and safety of perishable products by leading the QC staff in Inspecting product to ensure that Quality &standards are met
o Monitor, document, and correct any quality type issue
o Report and document product deviations to production manager
o Investigating and setting standards for quality/health and safety
o Reviewing &up dating quality control policy
o Assessing customer’s requirement and ensuring that these are met
o Dealing with customer feedback and complaints.
o Determining training needs, training, mentoring new staff

Development in Ethiopia & Sudan .

• Contribute in implementing a country-specific extension programs to improve postharvest management, improving food safety and quality.
• Support in provide training and conducting technical studies on Post-harvest Management.
• Contribute to the promotion of postharvest technologies with the goal of quality improvement and loss reduction

• Safely and efficiently collect samples for testing
• Performing continuous quality checks of finished goods
• Reporting and documenting any quality and food safety issues
• Assist in investigating customer complaints and help to resolve quality issues
• Assist in training and developing team members.
• Assessing customer’s requirement and Dealing with feedback and complaints

• Examine the products for damage, quality &sanitation.
• Complete product inspection and storage as quickly as possible to maintain quality and shelf-life.
• Monitor, document, and correct any quality type issue
