•sources out potential suppliers, verifies specifications and prices, and obtains recommendations for substitute items
•keeps constant communication with suppliers from forwarding, monitoring, and expediting orders
•authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation and takes charge of shipment details, collection and delivery
•monitors and tracks shipment; resolves shipment in error by following up with supplier and shipping company

• performs variety of administrative tasks, including typing, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and retrieving and disseminating data among other employees
