Conduct various quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests and analysis of water, air and soil in accordance with established testing methods and instructions such as APHA and USEPA methods using laboratory apparatus and instruments such as Inductively-Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS), potentiometers, spectrophotometers, ion chromatographs, soxhlet apparatus, pH and conductivity meters in which data are entered in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Responsible in monitoring and adjusting all the parameters involved in each process step of different metal coating services such as Hot-Dip Galvanizing (HDG), Electrogalvanizing (EGAL), Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP) and Hard Chrome Plating (HCP) employing the guidelines set by different international standards such as ASTM and British Standards.
- Manages the laboratory operations for the two plants of the company. Performs regular analysis of plating bath solutions and makes necessary replenishments of the components.
- In charge in running the ANOPLEX software to upgrade the company’s system in addressing all the steps involved in each job upon entering the company’s premises.
Develops and implements product and service innovation activities to support Holcim Cement and Concrete
attain their national sales targets and generate additional profit by developing and implementing innovative
technical service solutions, quality/application-oriented cement and concrete products, and technically-competent
Holcim Cement and Concrete sales-force.
Works on the research and development of the DOST-PCASTRD -funded project entitled “ Development of
Shape Memory Alloys via Plating-Annealing Methods”
Takes all necessary administrative actions to implement the decisions of the Philippine MSTQ Board of Trustees
and to manage and run the day-to-day functions of this Association.
- Prepares agenda and minutes, and monitors progress of action points agreed on.
- Assists in the organization of conferences, workshops, training programs, and meetings with other organizations
or individuals upon the request of the Board of Trustees
- Observes and implements maximum output in the production given limited available resources.
- Monitors commitment of jobs and supervises the efficiency of the production personnel.
- Performs duties of Quality Control Analyst (QCA), who is responsible mainly for quality-related matter of the jobs (12/06-
2/07).
