• Client representative approving project plans, requesting changes, raising issues and risks, approving milestones, releasing payments, and accepting (or declining) the final deliverables of the projects.
• Provide technical assistance during construction contract bidding, proposal evaluations, negotiation, and post-award construction administration services.
• Review the documents prepared by the MOJ's consultants, including, but not limited to their design reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide technical advice to other Engineering Department Sections and Units and other Departments.
• Perform field inspections and provide field support and troubleshooting during the construction process.
• Prepare scope of work descriptions and value engineering.
• Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
• Monitor the contractor’s/consultant's (ITP's) and quality plan(s) regarding discipline related works.
• design review of drawings, calculations and specifications covering HVAC, smoke management, irrigation, Plumbing and Firefighting.
• Attending frequent Technical and Construction Meetings.
• Drafting and preparing related technical letters with respect to contractual obligations and aspects.
• Evaluation of contractor’s claims, reviewing of change orders
• Review and approved Testing and Commissioning reports, “AS BUILT” Drawings”, Operation and Maintenance Manual, including project final handover to end user.
• Establish and implement “best practices” and focuses on continuous improvement.
• Study, analyse and evaluate tender documents from a technical point of view in order to identify risk factors, ensuring that technical terms comply with the relevant standards for the overall risk assessment and bid decision.
• Solicit and follow-up with the design/ drafting section during tender preparation for method optimizing in order to reach cost efficiency.
• Provide all the necessary project clarifications/ information upon project award to the Project Manager as per the project budget; advise the Project Manager on contractual rights, remedies which has been taken into consideration during tendering.

Duties:
• Leading, managing, and guiding the construction team to execute the MEP work as per indicated on the project baseline (Scope, schedule and Budget).
• Preparing, Maintaining, updating, and controlling the project plan.
• Reviewing, maintaining, and controlling the project budget.
• Building, Managing, and guiding the project team to execute with acceptable quality all required activities to achieve the required deliverables as per the project approved baselines.
• Provide the required technical support whenever required.
• Build and maintain proper communications with all the project stakeholders.
• Implementation & Monitoring of Mechanical System.
• Estimate, prepare and assign the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all Mechanical works prior to execution.
• Assisting Project Manager & Site Manager in all Technical Issues, Material Management, Commercial Issues, Review of Sub-Contractor, Communicate with Consultant & Client and supervise all Site Activities which also includes Sub-Contractors, Commercial dept., Planning dept., QA/QC dept., Safety dept. & all other Office Staff.
• Prepare Periodic Reports as required for Higher Management;
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise by reviewing related documents. Consolidating all necessary documents required such as Site Inspection, Request For Change, Material Inspection, Material Submittal, Shop Drawing etc. and securing Client’s Approval on the same.
• Review MEP Shop Drawing prior to submittal for service Coordination and Coordination with other construction elements.
• Keep the Project Manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations. Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team.
• Review with concern engineer about manpower requirements and inform Project Manager should a change be needed.
• Advice any impact on services caused due to Structural / Architectural changes and raise Query to MEP Manager & Consultant.
• Assist QS and planning department for update of MEP system progress.
• Provide technical advice to construction team.
• Oversee MEP services installation and coordinate with civil team in a way to avoid stoppage, delay and reworks of either teams.
• Review material/equipment technical submittals for specification compliance.
• Review site productivity reports and assist the team to achieve targets & improve productivity.
• Coordinating with MEP Team & all other departments to issue site clearances on timely manners.
• Review of method statements with respect to installation works and logistics for equipment positioning.
• Carry out inspection along with QA/QC and Consultant. Ensure that MEP Site Instructions/NCRs are closed out.
