Route 2020 - Dubai Metro Extension Project

Area of Responsibilities:
1. Prepare / Review of BOQ from the Drawings and scope of work as per the standard methods of measurement.
2. Carry out quantity takeoff in accordance with the standard methods of measurement.
3. Carry out checks on the tender BOQ for correctness and issue relevant reports.
4. Preparation of tender document and assist with technical/commercial tender queries where appropriate.
5. Provide support and assistance to cost estimation team.
6. Provide support and assistance to procurement team.

Area of Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of initial estimate / budget preparation based on contractual drawings & specifications.
2. Prepare BOQ from the Drawings and scope of work as per the relevant standard methods of measurement.
3. Verification of contractual items with respect to their specifications, inclusions, limitations and dry cost breakdowns.
4. Preparation and evaluation of Proposals and Variation Accounts.
5. Prepare and update CR log.
6. Monitoring of executed quantities & progress of the project for interim payment applications.
7. Execute as liaison with subcontractors involved in the project regarding the payment application.
8. Submit quotation documents for suppliers and sub-contractors and prepare comparative statements based on the reply for the Project Director’s or Executive Manager’s selection.
9. Prepare cost comparison for value engineering of project scope to offer to client, the reduced time and budget savings.

Tender Stage Projects Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of quantity comparative statements for the actual tender drawing quantities and tender BOQ quantities.
2. Prepare dry cost breakdowns for tender BOQ items and highlighting major items & bid basis that could give impact to the tender project.
3. Prepare and submit quotation documents for suppliers and sub-contractors.
4. Compilation of Tender Bid required itemized documents

Area of Responsibilities:
1. Control a team of AutoCAD operators in shop drawings (plans, views, details & fabrication), metal take-off (metal order & metal assembly) & glass take-off (glass order & glass assembly) using the latest AutoCAD version from 2D to 3D rendering.
2. Conduct quality assurance of shop drawings in terms of design and details for the compliance of company’s procedures, formats & standards before submission.
3. Planning, scheduling and monitoring of work loads of AutoCAD operators.
4. Report daily progress directly to superior and submit weekly projects status.
5. Prepare a detailed estimates and drawings for the materials to be use for material order and fabrication.
6. Produce structural analysis calculation and design for welded & bolted connections, transom & mullion capacities for curtain walling and glass thickness & specification.

Area of Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in site inspection in backfilling & concreting works.
2. Irrigation canals drafting & quantity take-off of on relevant items.
3. Accessing quantity of earthworks for excavation & backfilling in contractor’s interim payment applications.
