Oil Movement Operations
 Ensure timely receipts of feed stocks to ensure continuity in operation. Down times are costly to the refinery.
 Ensure a proper Inflow and outflow of inventory (Feed and Product) to always have Ullage for feed and product storage.
 Improving the efficiency of Feed stock receipts and Products Loading Jetties to avoid demurrage charges.
 Improving on the Capacities of Product transfer systems (pipelines and Pumps) to allow faster evacuation of products.
 Improving performance of Bulk truck loading Gantries.
 Accurate manual gauging of Tanks: Improved by installation of ATGs on Tanks and CTMs on transfer pipelines.
 Multi-purpose line Interface management: reduce Interface in multi-purpose lines through use of separating Pigs, application of High Pressures and blending off of interface/slops generated.

4. Product Quality Management.
 Blending to avoid delivering products on Quality Give-away.
 Prevent or Minimize on product contamination in the course of handling.
 Good sampling practices to always have a representative sample so as to avoid check samples. Testing is costly.

5. Ensuring process safety in oil movements through routine checks in the tank farm equipments and safety procedures adherence.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES IN TANK FARM OPERATIONS.
 Crude oil receipt through pipeline, crude oil storage and feeding to crude distillation unit.
 Internal pipeline cleaning and gauging with different kinds of PIGS
 Pig receiving and launching activities.
 Receiving LPG from LPG Plant unit, storage in spheres, safe sampling, feeding to fuel gas system.
 LPG transferring handling through pipeline to Marketing Company
 Intermediate storage (Light Naphtha, Heavy Naphtha, VGO, Reformat and Stab.Naptha).
 Sampling & gauging of different product tanks manually.
 Preparation lineup from component tanks to “petroleum products blending Header” such as MOGAS, HOBC, jet A-1, as a “Blending Operator”.
