KEY accountabilities: 1. Implement and administer credit and collection policies, procedures and internal controls.2. Minimize the risk of bad debts, receivables ageing, error or misstatement of the financial statements. 3. To evaluate, provide analysis, conclusion and recommendations to determine credit line amounts and communicate this information to the customers and other team members of the company. 4. Review and adjust credit lines on a regular basis or when requested for existing accounts. 5. Protect Accounts Receivable, while maximising business and revenue growth. 6. Ensure timely and accurate production and reporting of financial and management information relating to Accounts Receivables, Collections which will enhance business capabilities, results and allow for effective decision making and credit risk management. 7. Assist Financial Controller in generation of accurate 30/60/90 days Collection forecast to enable payable budgeting. Ensure that the credit risk is managed effectively while ensuring that revenue, profit and collectibles are not compromised. 8. Ensure collection activity that ties in with the monthly cash forecast, cash flow and overall funding objectives. 9. Assist financial controller in collection of delinquent customers to ensure maximum release of bad debt provision and minimize bad debt write offs.Generic Skills: Good interpersonal skills, man management, negotiation and excellent communication and presentation skills.
