Roles & Responsibilities:
• Full time supervision of all construction works / activities for the project.
• Organize approval to contractors shop drawings, product data sheets, samples.
• Refinement of works breakdown structure.
• Monitoring the progress of work with the Master construction schedule.
• Prior flagging of anticipated bottlenecks and analysis of its reasons.
• Day to day correspondences including contractual issues.
• Change order management for design changes and extra items.
• Quality assurance and control to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications.
• Organize Progress review meetings on weekly basis.
• Collect, review and maintain all the records of contractors’ daily progress reports.
• Submitting Weekly and Monthly progress reports.
• Controlling the progress of the project, ensuring resource availability and allocating the same, coordinating with various departments and external agencies, and reporting.
• Developing and maintaining detailed product schedules
• Ensuring active engagement of team members by delegation of tasks to the appropriate person both on a long term and on a day-to-day basis
• Ensuring adherence to recommended best practices such as the critical path method based on pert and the like
• Ensuring adherence to quality standards such a total quality management or six sigma by ensuring employees follow quality standards and by using quality control checklists
• Application of various project progress methods to ensure the project schedule is on track to meet deadlines or deliverables
• Devising strategies to overcome roadblocks or delays through various methods such as using industry related technical knowledge, innovating short cuts or alternative ways, improvising with available resources, scheduling overtime to meet the deadline, and the like

• Assisting in performing planning engineer functions as required.
• Reviewing of cost data source documents (PO’s, Subcontracts) and similar documents for assignment of correct cost codes.
• Marinating project records of cost data for all cost analysis and reporting functions from various sources.

• Applying Company policies and procedures and Country labor law as related to manpower daily and overtime rates for forecast and future planning reports.
1. Estimating, Planning and Pricing Department

Assigned as an estimating, Planning and pricing engineer for the tenders and was totally involved in pricing Government, Commercial, Residential Projects and Tenders and Private Villas.
The responsibilities for this role include:
• Reviewing draft tender documents to ensure all systems and components of the tender are included.
• Preparing tender documentation queries to consultants/clients to confirm and collect any missing data including; shipping costs, insurance, and any regional requirements.
• Developing tender cost summaries including equipment, materials and labour calculations for final approval.
• Interpreting & reviewing system drawings to identify any difference to tender requirements and raise queries against specification.
• Preparing specification documents to submit to vendors for quotations of cost/price of materials and equipment and evaluate same against tender specifications to include in final tender documentation.
• Preparing cost estimates for construction projects or services to aid management in bidding on or determining price of items and assist the Estimation Manager in Cost Estimation at tender stage and in the negotiations of project contracts as required.
• Preparing cost estimate breakdown to assist in the evaluation of bids.
• Pricing tenders using CCS software and preparing worksheets of civil items.
• Preparing comparisons reports for subcontractor’s adjudication packages of all trades..
• Developing a database for comparisons of various types of projects and tenders in terms of rates per meter squared.
• Participating in the review of the subcontractor cost estimation for awarded tenders and projects.
• Updating the project cost estimate database in Candy Software.
• Provide consistent budget quantity project cost estimates.

Assigned as a project engineer for the six villas and had an assistant engineer in the project and was responsible of all the site staff. All previous tasks were included in my role as a project manager including coordination with all electromechanical services.

Assigned as an assistant project manager for the phase2 project which included all finishing and landscaping works for the two buildings: the gymnasium and the cafeteria and art building, In addition to all previous assignments, there were some additional tasks:
• Preparing and finalizing all subcontractors’ payments at the end of each month.
• Preparing monthly reports submitted to owner
• Attending all coordination meetings held wit the owner or subcontractor
• Ordering all materials required to complete the works

• All civil and finishing works for the tower which consists of 21 floors and two basements.

• Pushing the contractors to perform the work with a very good quality in the shortest time possible to be ahead of the estimated contract time
• Coordinating with the project managers and all subcontractors to avoid contradictions
• Solving problems which faces the work as much as possible and trying to find the best solutions with the minimum effort and cost
• Following up with the project requirements such as manpower needed, material and equipment to ensure its existence in the appropriate time.

• Participating in subcontractors monthly payments and rechecking the quantities executed

• Following after the site foremen to ensure the progress and the quality of work

Assigned as a project engineer to handle the project in its finishing stages till handing over of the project to the client.
Finishing works included gypsum ceiling installation, granite stone fixing, painting works, doors and windows installation, waterproofing of roof external cladding metal works externally and internally, asphalting, electromechanical and pluming works and landscaping.

Assigned as a Project Engineer for the Pre Engineered Steel Building,
Underground utilities, Electrical room, Guard house and Asphalt finishes.
• Supervising the manpower at all construction levels.

• Requisition of material, equipment, manpower and the tools required for accomplishment of works.
