In USAID Takamol-Gender Program, I am responsible for the following:

• Provide strategic oversight, technical expertise and regular monitoring in the development, coordination and implementation of the small grants for CSOs, including development of technical content for RFA, grant proposals review, evaluation, and awarding;
• Working closely with the Capacity Building Specialist, to assess the needs of civil society organizations working in partnership with USAID Takamol or taking up any of the grants, and develop and ensure the implementation of relevant capacity building initiatives;
• Facilitate the provision of technical assistance and capacity building for CSOs designed to increase their knowledge of gender equality and women empowerment and their capacity to effectively engage on gender issues; Provide guidance to grantees on the design and implementation of gender -related initiatives;
• Build networks and strategic partnerships with CSOs to ensure their engagement with Takamol program especially with regards to national campaigns, legislative reform priorities and calls to action.
• Develop a comprehensive database of civil society organizations on the community and national levels, identifying ways and means to engage them in the thematic campaigns of the Program and community based initiatives across target communities;
• Continuously assess the civil society environment, identifying relevant developments and organizations, with strategic implications for Program planning and execution;
• Support other components on initiatives, activities targeting/engaging CSOs;
• Manage the publishing of papers, case studies and any relevant content developed by grantees on USAID Takamol clearing house and platforms;
• Draft and complete high quality programmatic reports outlining the activities conducted under the Civil Society initiative and work closely with the M&E specialist on collecting and verifying monitoring and evaluation data on civil society
• Responsible for generating research and content for online gender campaigns through “Faces of Takamol” digital initiative.

Project Manager &Gender Specialist at Care International in Jordan

1. edit and Suggest Expert Profiles to the Database
2. Follow on the Selection Committee meetings
3. daily update of the data onto the Database
