* June 2009 Up till present: Alstom Grid Egypt, Tendering Engineer: Job description: To assist the tenderin manger and the commercial section manager in preparation and implementing tenders witin quality criteria and in order to elaborate the quotation with respect to deadline.
The quality criteria and the objective to optimize the competitivness of bids and consequently allow the unit to reach its order objectives
The areas of responsabilities are: 1. Document analysis: Analysis of the tender documents and the detection of clarifications and deviations.
2. Production of the technical documents: Produce the plans and other technical documents; write the technical description of the prepared offers to be handed over to the commercial teams which permit them to finalize the offer for submission the offer to the client.
3. BOQ, RFQ and Costing: Produce the BOQ of all material in accordance with the client specification. Produce the RFQ for all external suppliers and negotiate them until getting the final competitive offers.
4. Client negotiation: Assist, upon request, the commercial team during the negotiation stage with the client to provide the necessary technical explanation and support.
5. Technologic ideas: Assure technologic ideas to improve the conception of the tenders.
6. Administration of tender data base: Entertain the data bases of the previous executed project to get back the experiences and to improve the execution time schedule and BOQ of the tenders.
