Utilities operation, Boilers produce steam for distribution within the refinery, Boiler Feed Water to the main boilers as well as to other refinery units, collection and treatment of steam condensate in the demin plant, cooling water systems, Instrument air compressors to operate all The control valves on the refinery, power generating system, fire water system and Nitrogen gas system.

•Take check around, make equipment line up and isolation, check plant status.
•Preparing solutions and chemicals as required.
•Tops up injection tanks and adjusts injection rates as instructed.
•Perform operational field activities during Start-Up, Shut-Down and process upsets to minimize plant disruption.
•Directly reporting to the Panel Operator and Shift Manager of any defect in the plant.
•Take samples and analyze it.
•Give work ermit to the maintenance staff.

And a Generator Voltage of 23 kV.

•Assigns duties to CRO’s (Control Room Operator) Operators and oversees department activities: Revises work assignments as required by priorities and work availability. Explains and demonstrates procedures and techniques to CRO’s & Operators. Interprets specifications and work orders for CRO’s & Operators.
•Conduct regular inspection of plant facilities to ensure plant’s correct functioning. Correct malfunction if appropriate or refer situation to the Shift In-Charge.
•Coordinate with maintenance personnel by identifying/locating and demonstrating malfunctioning plant and equipment. Inspect maintenance work if required.
•Responsible for the overall safe reliable and efficient operation of the generating plant auxiliary equipment, in accordance with the company policies Operations Department policies or as directed by the Shift In-Charge.
•Take gas test and ensure the work permit is completed properly in the presence of safety engineer and fireman as per company safety procedure.
•Issue work clearances (equipment hold order) to isolate, release and normalize after maintenance job is performed and Issue Work Permit for Maintenance or Contractor.
•Create maintenance notifications by SAP system, Plant Maintenance, Maintenance Processing in order of report a malfunction at a technical object and request that the damage be repaired.
•Carrying out High Voltage isolations and switching, Rack in/out breakers 13.8Kv, 4.16Kv & 480V.

-Monitor the Distributed Control and Information System (DCIS) readings and alarms and take appropriate action to correct deviations from established standards to ensure continuity of operations and provision of electric power in a safe and reliable manner according to load demands.
-Perform daily shift items in accordance with field operator(equipments test, changeover, confirm)
-Check plant Equipments status and monitor it, make equipment line up and isolation.
-Take remedial actions about the developed abnormality, to keep the system working in safe operating mode of ghazlan power plant, phase II.
-Perform the start-up or shutdown of the plant and facilities according to approved operating procedures and general instructions.
-Provide written reports on unit conditions and operations.
-Use PI System Trends to monitor the Operation process, to know the reason of the problem to trouble shoot it and to write report with explaining.
-Monitor processes and identify root causes of problems to reduce unaccounted-for losses.
-Safely operate pumps, compressors, fans and other plant equipment within safe operating ranges.

-Responsible for the overall safe reliable and efficient operation of the generating plant auxiliary equipment, in accordance with the company policies Operations Department policies or as directed by the Shift Foreman and Control Room Operator.
