Responsible for the research, technical analysis, recommendation, configuration, and administration of systems and procedures to ensure the protection of information processed, stored or transmitted. Creates reports that signal an incident and require review.
Reviews alerts generated by log analysis. Leverages emerging threat intelligence
(IOCs, updated rules, etc.) to identify affected systems and the scope of the attack.
Reviews and collects asset data (configs, running processes, etc.) on these systems
for further investigation.
Explores ways to identify stealthy threats that may have found their way inside
the network using the latest threat intelligence.
Recommends how to optimize security monitoring tools based on threat hunting
discoveries.
