• Supervise substation equipment
installation including GIS with its
accessories, MV switchgear, relays
and SAS panels.
• Manage SF6 gas handling operations,
including vacuuming, filling, leak
detection, and quality analysis.
• Review shop drawings, SLDs, wiring
diagrams, IFC drawings and manage
the transition to As-Built drawings,
ensuring all on-site modifications are
accurately documented.
• Supervise site activities including cable
laying and termination, ensuring
compliance with technical specifications
and safety protocols.
• Coordinate the testing and commissioning
phase for high-voltage substation
projects, ensuring all activities align with
the specified functional schemes and
standards in collaboration with
subcontractors.
• Act as a certified Permit Receiver,
managing work permits and ensuring
strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout
(LOTO) procedures and safety protocols.
• Prepare and verify comprehensive project
daily/weekly reports, maintaining high
standards for accuracy, corrections, and
equipment updates.
• Coordinate and lead activities during
customer inspections, ensuring all non-
conformances are documented and
resolved promptly.

• Analyze tender documents to understand project requirements, specifications, and scope of work.

• Outline all necessary equipment. Specify required voltage levels, power ratings, and other technical parameters.

• Develop detailed specifications for each equipment type. Include performance standards, testing requirements, and quality control measures.

• Identify reputable manufacturers and suppliers of substation equipment. Evaluate vendors based on previous project experience and track record. Ensure vendors have the resources to fulfill the project requirements.

• Send the RFQs to all shortlisted vendors. Provide a comprehensive description of the project requirements, payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, and other legal aspects.

• Specify the deadline, format, and required documents for bid submission. Update on bid closing date extensions and revised project requirements. Respond to any questions or requests for clarifications from venders in a timely manner.

▪ Review and analyze engineering designs to ensure compliance with Aramco standards, specifications, and safety regulations.


▪ Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet Aramco standards.


▪ Effectively collaborate with project team members, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
