• Plan and execute GTM, Road shows, Kiosk activities for the promotion of programs with stake holders
• Managed to deploy with partners more than 700 computer labs(400 CoW with EdLinks USAID)
• Lead and manage the “IW Float Activity” with 28 schools, 20 Universities and Consumer locations- Reaching out to an audience of more than 150K.
• Worked very closely with Education department Punjab for 200, 000 laptops program
This was additional project given to me.
Responsibilities included to start and Launch the ICT for Education Program in Pakistan. This program was started at a time in 7 countries with lead manager from Intel USA. Work with the Federal and Provincial education Ministries; Local OEM, and public institutes to give access to technology; Introduced a Classmate PC (A purpose built laptop for students) with a complete Education Solution- equipping students with these devices or even equipping classrooms with these devices would bring about a shift to preparing students for a knowledge based economy Job Responsibility includes;
• Local project management of all proof of concept activities, setup of wifi labs in Pakistan including Technical Support, Coordination and Tracking of deliverables from: Local OEMs, Local education experts, Local ISV, Local hardware providers, Setup and maintenance of Pc Wireless Network and associated Servers System Administration, Identification and resolution technical and logistical obstacles to successful PoC completion.
• Also provide training to local technical and education personnel on: Technical environment setup and maintenance, Application software / classmate pc usage model, and work with Intel Education/local country POC lead to monitor the evaluation & assessment co-designed and executed with MOE.
• Leading Intel-AIOU 1:1 computing Project for more than 700, 000 students and 34000 tutors
• Supervise and support 136 labs in Pakistan in 2007-08
Major Achievements
• Successful launch of 3 Proof of Concept (POC) labs in Pakistan in 2007 before the deadline-First Ever 1:1 computing labs totally on wifi in Pakistan
• 136 labs setup across Pakistan with support from Federal and Provincial Education Ministry,
• Timely execution, delivery and monitoring of all projects under Intel World Ahead Program in Pakistan, ensuring smooth implementation across the Country
• Worked with team and senior management in the areas of accessibility, connectivity, education, content and digital health, develop and drive programs for the same.
• Managed and Monitored deployment of 350 Rabta Ghar Project with PTA-Develop comprehensive project outline, SoP, feasibility, training manual, Initiated Tele-center program with NBP under President Rozgar Scheme
• Start/Launch the ICT for Education Program in Pakistan with lead manager from Intel USA
• Launched the program with Armed Forces Personnel under CSD umbrella, Launched Mobile initiatives for Learning in Education program with different universities in the region.
Worked as a Coordinator Intel Innovation in Education (Project of Intel Pakistan Corporation and implementing agency was Helium Pvt Ltd). Intel innovation in education (Project of Intel Pakistan Corporation)is a worldwide program that collaborates with the educators and govt. in 40 countries around the world to to promote interest amongst student of class 9-12 in Science, Maths and Computer and improve the quality of education. Responsible for coordination, supervision and technical support in ICT, Rawalpindi division, NWFP and AJK for training project. Responsible for coordination of Intel Science and Engineering Fair in ICT, Rawalpindi Division, and NWFP. Maintaining the database of Intel Science and Engineering Fair all across Pakistan.
