Using my writing skills and understanding of management concepts, I edited several research papers with a professor from the Engineering Management program. The topics of these papers include:
- Gauging the importance of Emotional Intelligence in managers successful at mood management.
- The prevalence of effective mood management in Lebanese managers
- The effectiveness of spreadsheets as a tool for teaching simulation to operations management students.
Position: Project Engineer
In this position I took on several roles in relation to a project. Primarily, as the contractor representative with clients, I had the challenge of aligning all technical and contractual matters so that the client was satisfied, and projects would remain profitable. Secondly, in charge of implementation, I managed material, manpower, and commissioning for site installations and accordingly prepared key documents such as shop drawings, method statement, and job safety analysis. Coordination with other contractors was also part of the Project Engineer’s roles.
The systems which were typically installed and commissioned included:
- UPS- Uninteruptable Power Supply
- Back-up Power Generators
- Precision Cooling Units
- Fire Suppression
- Raised Flooring
- Data Center Monitoring Systems
- Fire Alarm
In this student organization position I had several Duties:
• Supervised and managed the Stage Crew for Concerts
• Monitored equipment selection and quotation collection
• Negotiated requests for equipment, pro sound suppliers, and services from suppliers; and maintained relationships with those that provide high quality products and services
• Handled other club operations including practice room maintenance and concerts recording.
Audio Engineering Course
Using understanding of Acoustics, Electrical Engineering, and Signal Processing, in combination with experience in working with Round Reinforcement, and recording equipment I assisted the professor in teaching Audio Engineering principles and students in conducting experiments and learning Digital Audio Workstation Software
