Accountabilities:--
Logical and Physical Implementation tasks involving data centre and security network infrastructure - sketching changes for management review using Microsoft Visio.
Onsite and Offsite Data Centre hardware installations, implementations and decommissioning works. Out-of Band Switches implementation for remote monitoring.
Installation, Configuration, Administration, Securing & Troubleshooting of Network Infrastructure including LAN/ WAN - Strong knowledge in administering, configuring & troubleshooting CISCO Switches, CISCO Routers, Firewall, Structured Cabling, VPN, VLANs, VoIP Telephony.
Participating in Network Capacity Planning, Network Security Principles and general network management best practices.
Serves as a technical authority on Networking & Security
Maintaining Data Centre Security (securing switches, routers, network devices).
Experience in LAN/WAN (OSPF) and wireless networking principles and protocols including TCP/IP, VLAN, WLAN, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, VPN etc.
Regularly monitoring the system for possible security violation & vulnerabilities & correcting and detected problems.
Respond quickly & efficiently to network issues and outages.
Maintenance of technical documentation, network diagrams, processes and procedures used throughout normal operations.
Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining all related Cisco devices (switches, routers, ASA firewall, Wireless controllers, access points), HP switches
Configuring Site to Site VPN, AnyConnect VPN, Clientless VPN
Manages the day-to-day administrative activities associated with the Internet, Intranet, local area network, wide area network and connection to all the above via wireless, broadband and voice connectivity
Configuring Cisco Routers & ASA Firewalls for ADSL, MPLS and Leased Line connections.
Daily routine works include monitoring servers for smooth functionality (Application Server, Anti-virus Server, Fileserver, Nortel PABX server)
Acts as a focal point for all Etisalat Network related issues, rectification and new initiatives.
Participates in the design, installation, upgrade, testing and maintenance of Network infrastructure and its components and preparing a backup plan in case of disaster.
Maintain, monitor, analyze customer’s system components and provides both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks, issues and makes recommendations on project decisions to the Senior Management.
Configuring the Exchange Server and maintaining the Active Directory for day-to-day activities
Supervises and guides subordinates ( IT Technicians, Engineers ) on day-to-day activities
Implementation of IBM SAN in company sites and configuring the integrated Cisco switches.
Responsible for network security related issues- network access, node access, firewall and Internet setup
Performs daily housekeeping tasks, including Systems Checks, Backup Tape rotation, Preventive Maintenance activities
Assists communication manager in the preparation of budgets. Also ensures that spending is in line with approved budgets.
Handling installation, configuration and maintenance of LAN, WAN & Server (Windows).
Administration, troubleshooting & customer support operations of our corporate Windows2003 Active Directory domain network which consists of ISA server, Terminal Server, NAS server, Intermec wireless handheld devices, Bandwidth managers, CISCO routers, PIX firewall and wireless access point.
Maintenance and Management of Mail Server using Microsoft Exchange 2007.
Looking after the maintenance of Address book for mail server using LDAP Technology.
Deploying group policy in Windows2003 domain and manage ISA 2000 as web proxy server to restrict user’s privileges and internet access.
