OBJECTIVE:
To ensure customer records are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
To ensure collections are picked up in a logistically efficient manner.
To support the Credit Control Manager to meet collection objectives set by Financial Controller.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Leading the whole credit control operations in Dubai. Responsibility over credit control, accounts receivable and collection.
Frequent contact with customers regarding with quality customer service of their accounts including follow-up on payments, statements & reminders.
Receipts data entry into ERP.
Customer Accounts reconciliation.
Customer balance and Accounts Receivable sub-ledger reconciliation.
Coordinate distribution of invoices and statements to customers.
Coordinate the Collector’s collection of payments from customers.
Reporting
Assist with preparation of monthly Accounts Receivable Status reports for Credit Controller.
Other ad hoc reports and analysis as required by Credit Control Manager or Financial Controller.
General
Maintain customer files.
Gain a strong understanding of the ERP system and its capabilities to automate workload.
Carry out other duties as assigned by the Credit Control Manager or Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:
My role as Credit Controller at UPS involved being a representative of the Company at all levels necessary. This required me to ensure the customer care experience was handled in a consistent and professional manner. I liked the customer satisfaction I received from the customer and got personal satisfaction from dealing with complicated Customer queries and ensuring they were resolved in a timely manner. My key responsibilities were:
· Handling Accounts receivables on time
·Working with Sales Customer Service & Resolution, Marketing and the Operations departments.
· Ensured Public Relations with the top 20 customers was a priority in accordance with the 20/80 rule (The top 20 customers gives 80% of the business to the company)
· Responsible for the entire monthly collection of all the respective regions as per as the target specified.
·The collection process involves, sending monthly statements to all customers, follow up by email and calls to the accounts payable to know whether the payment was on schedule or any issues.
·Ensure the DOS debts are in compliance with the company’s targets.
·Make customer visits to resolve issues.
·Was fully proficient with the use of the Company CRM system, Goldmine.
·Was also fully confident in the use of Mainframe for tracing customer shipments.
·Payment posting in the respective customer accounts and allocations.
·Directing customer complaints to the relevant department and follow up to resolve at the earliest.
·Prepare reports for receivables meeting on monthly basis.
·Preparing daily collections report, customer wise/ area wise per day.
·Preparing Provision reports, debtor days and reconciliation reports at the beginning of every month to determine final figures of previous month.
·Preparing monthly target files specifying the total target and individual targets for each of the credit controls.
·Leading the finance team for monthly dispatch of invoices to the customers.
·Following the credit check process and approving credit to worthy customers.
·Escalate the slow payers to higher management for necessary actions.
Key Achievements:
I was able to achieve my targets on a continuous basis month by month for the full duration of my time at UPS.
