• My current role is to manage various operations projects (Asset Projects) & select specific team for relevant assignments with approval of management, and manage those projects from concept, budget approval to commissioning & start-up phase.
• Managed project of burner management system for furnace from pneumatic to electronics, my involvement was from concept, procurement, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Manage Heat exchanger commissioning installation project from engineering, construction, commissioning and start up.
• Amine Reboiler Tube Bundle replacement/modification and commissioning.
• Plant remote monitoring real time operation, it was a digitalization project.
• Commissioning spare parts management.
• Plant Shutdown planning, execution management. Managing shutdown spares, resources, contractors.
• Managed LPG plant dehydration unit molecular sieve bed replacement from procurement of new bed to decanting, loading and waste material disposal.
• Managing Risk Management centralized application implementation project.

• Initiated and Managed Qarn-Alam Plant F&G segregation project from concept, logic verification, and implantation and plant commissioning and testing. This reduced spurious tripping & saving 15+ MM$ per year. WON Chairman’s Excellence Silver Award by PDO Management in 2018.
• Review process parameters of plant on PI Process book to ensure operating within design limits during commissioning and start up.
• Prepare operating envelopes of critical equipment’s.
• Prepare and monitor Separators, Tanks, Compressors Operating Envelops, Upload on Live stream and monitoring.
• Participate in Design reviews, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, IPF and ALARP workshops etc.
• Suggest improvement in process and efficiency enhancement studies and raise Facility change proposals.
• Verify design of process piping and equipment’s capacity and efficiency.
• Resolved several Process issues (e.g. Steam HP separator line undersized, BOH leaking issue, Production separator gas balancing, IRCD Operations problem, key inputs in RCA etc).
• Optimized compressor performance, resulting reduced flaring.
• Heat recovery steam generators fuel gas optimized with control loop modification that reduced consumption of sweet buy back fuel.
• Involved in development & coaching of local Omani staff.
• Technical presentations and Note to file preparation for high-level commissioning decisions, Arranging risk assessment sessions.
• Routine site visits with commissioning staff, arranging and register suggestions, prioritize and execute working on top priories.

• Plant consists of HT/HP Wells, remote manifold, inlet separation, gas gathering system, condensate stabilization, flash gas compression, Amine unit, Glycol unit, incinerator, Propane refrigeration unit, hot oil system, HP / LP flare system, condensate storage and loading, gas engine power generation, N2 system, RO system, Fire water system, DCS & common Utilities section.
• Actively involved in the Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, and start-up of all above mentioned units.
• Reviewed design documents and philosophies, suggest several changes for plant operation and safety improvement.
• Leading the team of commissioning operator and supervisors (DCS, Plant, Wellhead)
• Prepare plant commissioning systemization and start up logical sequence.
• Prepare pre-commissioning and commissioning checklists.
• Performed the He2/N2 leak test, air blowing etc.
• Amine and other units flushing and cleaning.
• Generated several queries of engineering change (MOC) for improvement of new plant (Buy back metering, Acid Gas / Assist gas query etc. Total 25 ECRs processed).
• Performed plant load test at 100%, recorded all bottlenecks in the plant and start working on it.
• Amine Gas sweetening unit process issues resolved.
• Glycol unit losses issue resolved.
• Propane refrigeration unit propane and oil losses issue resolved. Suggested oil recovery system modification and improve cooling system.
• Reviewed Engineering Documents, P&IDs, Shutdown & ESD Philosophy, Cause & Effect.
• Prepared operation / commissioning, special procedures, MOPO and SIMOPS.
• Actively handled site safety & system audit by third party / external audits for operation team with no major findings.
• Hiring & Training of Operation staff.
• Arranged first fill data of new projects (Arranged all consumables before start-up)
• Conducted Trainings of Operations Staff (ESD Philosophy, Amine Sweetening system, Gas processing, Wellhead Operation, HSSE Policy/Procedures.

• Worked as Operations Shift Engineer at Sawan Gas Plant (400 MMscfd capacity). Amine Gas sweetening unit, Gas gathering, Silica Gel bases dehydration unit, hot oil system, Cooling Water, Demin water, Gas engine Power generation.
• Project-1: Sawan Plant Debottlenecking project & commissioning & Operation.
• Project-2: Front End compression project (Siemens Gas Turbine & Centrifugal compressors) and commissioning of compression station. Prepared several engineering reports for Plant optimization & efficiency improvement. Well managed erection / commissioning hindering problems of contractors (ABB/ SIEMENS) as a one team with good coordination between Engineering & Operations. SAT with vendors, Performance Test of Gas Turbines & Centrifugal compressors.
• Prepared plant equipment’s performance monitoring excel based tool, and predicted when next maintenance is required.
• Sawan Flare system optimization done with reduced fuel gas to flare after mixing with surplus nitrogen.
• Plant efficiency improved with enhanced inlet cooling without putting any additional cost.
• Permit to Work Procedure, (2007 & 2010): Reviewed PTW procedure twice with multidisciplinary team. Conduct new PTW system training for all field employees. (Process & non-process area). Implemented new procedure as a PTW issuing authority.
• Turnarounds, (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2012) Attended five major turnarounds and lead team of 14 Gas plant operator, 2 Utilities and 2 DCS panel operators. Prepared Plant Nitrogen Purging and Amine System Draining and flushing procedures. Prepared Plant Isolation Philosophy and Simultaneous Operation Procedure. Prepared plant shutdown / equipments handover / plant start-up bar chart. Executed all Turnarounds timely and safely with motivated team.
• Modification in Sawan Plant Flare system, i.e. use of nitrogen as base line purge. Result: (Implementation of Flare system project will save 0.5 Million USD/year). Currently saving 50% fuel gas (0.2 MMscf per day)
• Trim coolers performance study. Result: It predicted when next cleaning will be required.
• Sawan Plant Efficiency enhancement study. Result: It increased Plant efficiency by 1%. (Given three suggestions for improvement).
