1. Rainfall - Runoff Modeling Of Baroch Nala Mianwali, Pakistan By using HEC-HMS and WMS software.
2. The purpose of this case study is to integrate the proactive role of communities and the use of flood modeling in the implementation of a flood early warning system.
3. Manual rain gauges were installed at 20 places to monitor rainfall. Rain information is sent at a interval of 3 hours a day via SMS message to a receiving computer.
4. The received data are used to run a basin model that was developed in HEC-HMS, which converts precipitation excess to overland flow and channel run-off.
5. Watershed Modeling System (WMS) is used with GIS in this study to estimate the surface runoff .
6. The geographical area of Broach Nala is 149 square kilometer, and the average rainfall is around 20.97 mm a day.
7. The rainfall data for 5 years were used for the analysis and estimation of the direct runoff for the study area.
8. Soil moisture data from the Mianwali Agriculture field survey and WMS with GIS were used to set the initial soil moisture for the event simulations .
9. Spring flooding in mianwali is generally influenced by both winter precipitation and soil moisture conditions in the fall of the previous year. As a result, the soil moisture accounting (SMA) and the temperature index algorithms are employed in the simulation.
10. Results from event and continuous simulations of HEC-HMS show that the model is suitable for flood forecasting in Mianwali.
Analyzed survey reports, maps, blueprints and other topographical and geologic data to effectively plan infrastructure and construction projects.
Drafted and reviewed reports and specifications, including construction schedules, environmental impact studies and project designs.
Controlled site engineering activities to maintain work standards, adhere to timelines and meet quality assurance targets.
Recommended and selected new and replacement test equipment to improve research and testing capabilities.
Facilitated construction by mapping out utility installations and establishing reference points, grades and elevations.
My Master's degree in Construction and Engineering Management is a specialized programme that equipped me with advanced knowledge and practical skills, enabling me to manage complex construction projects from conception to completion. The program included a range of topics such as construction law, scheduling, project management, sustainable construction, and cost estimation. Throughout my studies, I developed a strong understanding of the construction industry, its operational standards, and how to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
During my degree, I gained solid foundational knowledge in the areas of structural analysis, construction management, and transportation engineering through classroom lectures, laboratory experience, and internships. I also completed a final year research project on Rainfall runoff modeling at baroch Nala mianwali , pakistan. and presented it at the annual Civil Engineering Conference. I believe my educational background in Civil Engineering provides me with a strong foundation to excel in a related industry. I would appreciate the opportunity to further discuss how my skills and experience can contribute to your organization Tools, HEC-HMS , WMS , MS Office
