■ Ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the KAUST campus by minimizing risks, optimizing resources, and maintaining regulatory compliance and stakeholders’ satisfaction.
■ Acting as AHJ overseeing the life safety plan review and approval of all projects and compliance.
■ Manage a professional team responsible for all KAUST Construction & Facility Safety, Loss Prevention and Fire Protection.
■ Promoting safety culture, developing policies, overseeing emergency response plans, mentoring teams, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance and risk management.
■ Lead Fire, and HSE Investigations and conduct frequent inspections to identify and mitigate hazards arising from existing facilities, new construction activities and projects.

• Provide professional and technical consultation in areas of Loss Prevention, HSE, and Process Risk Management.
• Develop, establish, implement, manage, and maintain the Process Safety Management (PSM), HSE program, Contractor Safety, and employee training program.
• Maintain KPIs for evaluating the effectiveness of the HSE, PSM, Audit, Inspection records, and the refinery Fire and Rescue Operations.
• Conducting Risk Assessments, HAZOP, and JSA assessments across Jeddah and Yanbu Refainres.

• Creating, planning, formulating, implementing policies, procedures and SOW for Fire Stations, emergency response, fire protection systems, equipment, life safety design, and code
enforcement.
• Directly manages the Fire Stations serving 37 factories, warehouses, and high-rise buildings across all KAEC.
• Ensures new construction, renovation projects, and events plans comply with standards and codes.

• Manages 4 Fire Stations, conducting fire/safety site auditing, inspection, and risk assessments at 13 train stations, 2 depots, and 4 maintenance bases.
• Developing fire and life safety strategy reports and drawings in accordance with NFPA, SBC, and HCIS standards.
• Leading fire Investigations and supporting the other departments to identify the root causes.
• Testing, commissioning of firefighting systems and providing maintenance and technical solutions.

• Conduct inspections and enforce RRO (2005) and other relevant legislation and standards.
• Adhering policies and procedures provided by SWFRS and supporting the delivery of community safety initiatives and events throughout the South Wales area.
• Assist with the preparation of recommendation reports, issue reports, draft policies, and by-laws.
