Since May 2016, my role at Abbott Laboratories Pakistan has been changed and since then I am working as Manager Regulatory Affairs. I have to ensure the smooth business of selling Diagnostics products of the company into the country by getting the registrations of products from Regulatory Authority of Pakistan. Since Pakistan is a regulated market in healthcare sector, therefore we need to get pre-approvals and registration licenses to import, sell and market the Medical Laboratory Analyzers and related reagents.

To train customers on Abbott Instruments. To educate them how to run and have good performance of Instruments and QC . To solve the application related customer complaints by working with service department (Engineers) of Abbott. To act as Quality Affiliate and Regulatory Affiliate Abbott for Pakistan, SriLanka, Bangladesh and Maldives. To provide the documents to all these countries required for product registrations. To coordinate the internal and external auditors for Quality Audits.

To achieve the sales target allocated by company for the specific territory. To increase customer base by engaging new customers and by sustaining the existing customers. To do the product promotion by meeting and educating the doctors and clinicians with the knowledge of current and emerging medical laboratory tests. To prepare the sales plan for next year by taking in consideration the current business trends and latest best estimates LBE. To arrange Seminars and multimedia presentations for continuous medical education in support to marketing department. To perform the receivables/outstanding recovery from customers and to prepare the forecast for shipping of materials on bi weekly basis. To become a trusted advisor, a solution provider and a problem solver for customers in order to gain customer satisfaction and ultimately economic profitability

Used to run all biochemical tests including routine blood and Urine tests, tumour markers, cardiac markers, immunoassay tests on automated analyzers. Also perform Daily QC checks and instrument maintenance checks. Also prepared the duty roasters for staff management on different shifts to run the department for 7days a week round the clock. Contributed in internal and external audit. Staff trainings and inventory management was also part of my duty. I had to prepare the list of materials required for routine operations on daily and weekly basis. Also remain involved in planning of department growth plans.
