Scope/Description: Community Development Company (CDC) is the authority established and funded by Public Investment Fund (PIF) under National Housing Program (NHP, vision 2030) for developing residential and mixed-use developments (cities) in five cities in Saudi Arabia. Master plan, design and construction for total 430, 000 housing units and supporting amenities within KSA.
Responsibilities: As advisor to client, responsible for review of consultant’s, contractor’s and PMO works related to wet services, initial site assessments and wet services estimations. Coordination with stakeholders/authorities. Oversee master plans, detail infrastructure designs, construction documentation and other studies related to sites. Initial budge requirements for lead items. Reviewing Consultant’s invoices and schedules. Progress meetings with consultants.

Client: MODON (Saudi Industrial Property Authority)
Title: Lead Wet Services Engineer
Start/End Dates: August 2015 / June 2018
Scope/Description: MODON is the authority for developing industrial cities and supporting amenities throughout Saudi Arabia. Task has been completed successfully.
Responsibilities: As lead engineer and technical advisor to client, represented MODON independently and responsible for management and reviewing of infrastructure utilities and master plans. responsible for:
 Review the design of potable water & Fire water/industrial water, sanitary wastewater (foul water)/ industrial drainage, storm water drainage, irrigation/TSE systems and hydrology studies for infrastructure projects from master plan/concept design through detailed design and tender documents submitted to MODON by other consultants (reputable consultants Jacobs, IBI, Bachtel, MWE, CH2M, Royal HaskoningDHV, SALFO, ITALCONSULT, Redicon Gulf, Albert Spears & Partners.
 Concept design development for industrial cities for potable & fire water/industrial water, wastewater/ industrial drainage, Stormwater and irrigation/TSE systems.
 Redesign of infrastructure utilities including pump/lift stations, culverts etc. In-house design to improve infrastructure utilities on urgent basis and design of networks within ready built factories.
 Reviewed guidelines and standards for infrastructure projects.
 Rehabilitation of existing cities, investigation of existing development sites, assessment of issues and preparation of schemes and recommendations to resolve issues for about 45 years’ old infrastructure systems.
 Review shop drawings, subcontract agreement, method statements, approvals for Material submittals by subcontractors.
 Response to RFI raised by contractors. Attending progress meetings held with the consultant/contractors.
 Prepare task orders/scope of work for consultants and contractors for new projects.
 Team leader for in-house infrastructure design works, supervising engineers and technical staff.
 Site visits to existing cities and under construction sites, prepared technical reports and presented technical solutions to resolve issues related to infrastructure (Dammam-1, Dammam-2, Jeddah-1, Jazan, Al-kharj, Sudair, Qassim etc.).

Ministry of Housing (MoH) is the authority for residential and supporting amenities throughout Saudi Arabia. As representative of client (MoH), responsible for review of detailed design, master plans, and redesigning of infrastructure utilities. Member of core team/ decision maker and approval authority on behalf of Client. As senior engineer and head of the department in engineering team in Program Management Office (P.M.O), was responsible for:
 Review designs and master plans for potable water & Fire water, sanitary wastewater (foul water), storm water drainage systems and hydrology studies for infrastructure projects from concept design through detailed design and tender documents submitted to M.O.H by other consultants.
 Redesign of infrastructure utilities including pump/lift stations, culverts etc. for M.O.H project sites due to changes in master plans using latest methods and software. Prepared design criteria for infrastructure projects to be followed for all M.O.H sites (more than 100 sites) in future. Review shop drawings for civil infrastructure utilities. Review of subcontract agreement submitted by consultants and contractors. Review and approvals for Material submittals by subcontractors. Review of method statements submitted by the contractors. Making sure all the submittals by contractors according to CAD Manual. Approvals of utilities systems from local authorities.
 Response to RFI & SCR raised by contractors. Attended progress meetings held with consultants/contractors.
 Development of standards for design and construction of infrastructure projects.
 Liaison with stakeholders, coordinate with local/government authorities and get approvals/certificates for utilities.
Detail of my duties is given as under:
M.O.H Projects - Designs and master plan reviews Review for wet utilities:
Reviewed master plans and infrastructure designs submitted by reputable consultants (Parsons, Dar Al Riyadh, Zuher Fez, Saudconsult, Khatib Al Alami and Omrania). Reviewed concept master plans design (for wet utilities) for approximately 30 sites (Total Area= 3000 Ha approx.). Reviewed detailed design & tender documents for 25 sites. (Total Area=2500 Ha approx., Cost=3 Billion SR). Reviewed hydrology studies for 30 sites. Prepared design criteria for M.O.H to be followed for all infrastructure projects in future.
M.O.H Projects - Revised Master Plans and Redesign of Infrastructure Utilities:
The infrastructure utilities (potable & Fire water, foul water, storm water and irrigation networks) for the following sites were redesigned due to changes in master plans:
Riyadh Airport Site (Total Area=500 Ha), Al Ehsaa Site (Total Area=100), Madinah Al Munawara Site (Total Area=90Ha), Jeddah Prince Fawaz (JPF) Site (Total Area=100 Ha), Jeddah Airport Site (Total Area=100 Ha), Dammam North & South sites (Total Area=200 Ha).
M.O.H Projects - Shop Drawings, Subcontract Agreements, Material Approvals & Method Statements: Riyadh Airport, Al Ehsaa, Madinah Munawara, Qateef Badrani, Dammam, Jeddah (2 sites), Al Kharj, Dammam North & South.
