Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conduct Quality Control checks (surveillance) on the actual execution of works from Civil, Structural and Architectural works such as formworks, rebarworks, concreting and finishing.
2. Perform Quality Control / Assurance, inspect the quality of work in general if it is conforms to the contract and specifications.
3. Raise the Requests For Inspection (RFI) to Client and ensure all work is complete and correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken.
4. Ensure that the Request for Inspection notifications contains proper attachments (i.e., Inspection checklist, IFC drawings, Survey Report, Applicable Specification documents)
5. Ensure that no work is submitted for inspection unless it is complete and complies with all specified requirements.
6. Conduct inspection of material receiving and review approved documents.
7. Maintain quality records specified by relevant Inspection Test Plan, contract documents, ensure all original copies of record are handed over to documents & Data Controller.
8. Ensuring that the Site Engineers and Sub Contractor QC understand the requirement of the Quality Procedure /ITP.
9. Conducting quality inspections for supply of concrete as per approved mix design/ specifications.
10. Issue Surveillance Report or Log Book entry.
11. Preparing and issuing the Non Conformance Report (NCR) to the Site Managers, Site Engineers, and Sub-contractors and ensuring that the corrective and preventive actions are taken.
12. Verify Corrective & Preventive Actions. Assisting in the development and implementation of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence or nonconforming work.
13. Take necessary corrective actions on the work requiring rework or remedial actions as instructed and directed by QA/QC Manager
14. Monitor and ensure that only current / latest revision of Issued for Construction(IFC)drawing are being used, and withdraw all superseded drawings from site.
15. Identify outstanding or incomplete drawings and interface details.
16. Review of calibration certificates as per standards specifications.
17. Conduct & arranged field testing with third party approved agency.
18. Attending weekly QC meetings.
19. Interact with Client Representative and various Discipline heads.
Job responsibilities:
o Prepares inspection documents for various activities such as excavation/backfilling, concreting, formworks, reinforcement, surface preparation, dry film thickness test, field density test and material submittals.
o Conducts timely surveillance for materials proper storage and preservation.
o Conducts review of all materials technical data sheet, verification of material approvals.
o Conducts quality inspection of different structures such as foundations, columns, beams/girders, and other structural members for buildings.
o Coordinates to site supervisor’s proper quality procedures and standards for the construction of different structures.
o Checks survey reports and as -built drawings as per actual conditions.
o Conducts daily, weekly & monthly batching plant inspection & test as per standard requirement.
o Checks & verifies the ongoing concrete batching as per approved Mix-Design.
o Check that all relevant INSPECTION CHECK LISTs are being implemented or not at site during executions.
o Report to QA/QC Manager & issuing internal NCR when Quality of workmanship does not meet the Standards established in the Quality Control Plan (QCP) as well as Contract Documents.
o Issues non-conformance reports to ensure quality of work. Participating in the inspection & monitoring of the project.
o Ensuring that the plans are in the latest revision and updated for all documents being used in the site.
o Ensuring that a certain task is done to a successful completion in order to meet the client owner’s satisfaction.
