Brief description about my hospital:-
- Working as a member in a team for establishment Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul-Aziz hospital (National guard health affairs) consisting of 320 bed
- Islamic hospital is one of the advance and big private hospital in Jordan; it consists of five buildings, main hospital three buildings.
- It consists 340 beds.
- It consists deferent departments (emergency, medical surgical wards, medical ICU, surgical ICU, pediatric ICU, nuro ICU, pediatric wards, bstetric-gyne, premature department, operation department cath lab, radiotherapy, lab department, out patient clinics, blood bank and IVF department.
About my department: -
Our emergency consists of 64 beds divided as male, female pediatric, four cardiac rooms and two minor surgery rooms.
Emergency received all cases such as ( respiratory, cardiac, G.I, renal, spinal injury, all types of shock, brain hemorrhage, seizure, anemia, electrolyte imbalance, RTA, head trauma, gun shot, anaphylactic reaction and .est.)
*** Our emergency is one of the most active departments in the hospital
*** Nurse to patient ratio 1:2, some time 1:3.
My role and responsibilities:
** Emergency staff nurse (LPN): * Priorities and principles of emergency of emergency care (triage)
* Performing complete head to toe physical assessment.
* Obtaining recording and interpretation of vital sign.
* 12-lead ECG interpretation, as well identifying and management of heart arrhythmias.
* Obtaining blood gaze (ABG) analysis and management.
* Skillful in canula insertion.
* Drugs preparation, administration and monitoring of side effects as well thrombolytic therapy.
* Implementing and performing Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS)
* Excellent communication skills with patients as well as their families.
* Discharge and transferring patient.
* Preparation and assist with intubations.
* Folly's catheter and NG tube insertion.
* Excellent computer skills.

* Dealing with (ER mechines) ECG, defibrillators, monitors, swan ganze, I.V mechines, Co1 mechenes, Pulse Oxomiter, pace maker..
* Applay infecation control policies on my hospital and general precaution for infection control.
* Make a health education for p.t and their family.
* Work effectively and cooperative with my colleague.
* Apply blood transfusion procedure effectively
* Assess Dr during insertion of catheter and educate p.t how to care catheter at home.
* The preparation of narcotic drugs and give.
* Keep track of files and orders Dr.
