1. Preparation of detailed BOQ’S and rate analysis for tender documents.
2. Prepares and submits the interim payment applications in accordance with contract payment mechanism and procedures ensuring that all executed works are measured and claimed immediately at the end of each interim payment period.
3. Preparation of Monthly Bills of running project’s.
4. Analyse completed works and preparation of bills for arranging payments to the sub Contractors.
5. Check and record measurements of completed work.
6. Preparation of daily material consumption reports. 7. Preparation of measurement Books.
8. Preparation of rate analysis of non-schedules items.
9. Liaises with the Engineer’s and client’s quantity surveyors in verifying measured quantities and processing payments.
10. Participates in the assessment of variations and claims.
11. Allocating upcoming works to the subcontractors. 12. Review and assess tenders ensuring all tender documents are received and are correct.
13. Attend Weekly Projects meeting if required.
14. Work very close with the project team to ensure that measurements, variations and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified.
15. Involve in all post contract activities such as recording actual work measurements, analysis of site design changes, preparation of variations orders and reports.
16. Any other duties assigned by the higher management.
At Project 'Construction of Emirates Hospital Rawalpindi' (A Project of UAE / Pakistan Assistance Programme) Job Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of interim payment certificates of running project.
2. Preparation of Bar Bending schedules and inspection of reinforcement bars as per Drawings and Bar Bending schedules.
3. Preparation of Daily Material consumption Reports.
4. Preparation of sub contractors Bills.
5. Assist the Senior Quantity surveyor for preparing and analysing costing for tenders.
6. Check and record measurements of completed work.
7. Preparation of materials statements.
8. Monitor project costing throughout the entire project reporting to the Project Manager.
9. Checking the BOQ’S with drawings.
10. Preparation of measurement Book.
11. Writing detailed progress / cost reports.
12. Reporting to Client Representative on all BOQ’s issues.
13. Attending progress meetings with the Employer and Consultants when required.
14. Measures the executed works as per the Contract Method of Measurement.
15. Verifies subcontractors measurements and payment applications.
16. Undertake the measurement of completed works in cooperation with the client Engineer.
17. Estimate accurately each job and review the estimate with Estimation Manager in sufficient time to permit careful analysis, checking of calculations, and corrections as necessary.
18. Prepares and maintains proper Quantity Surveying Sheets.
