Communications & information Intern at United Nations Office for project services (UNOPS)
  • Palestine - Jerusalem
  • July 2013 to November 2014

I am currently completing an internship at the UNOPS Jerusalem operations office; this opportunity helped me gain valuable insights on the inner works of the agency. My assignments focused on creating aphoto bank for the projects led by UNOPS, assisting the Program Development Manager and the Communications officer in creating a media/communications tool-kit that aims to provide UNOPS-JMOC with a strong existence on field. One notable task I significantly contributed to is the translation of different fact-sheets and Concept-notes, press-releases which are currently available for employees on both the internal and external websites and which is used as part of the communications tool-kit or published in newspapers and media. Moreover I produced some of UNOPS-JMOC fact sheets conjointly with the Business Development Manager such that it displays the office’s achievements in an effective manner. Furthermore, I participated in Market-research assessment by producing and translating sector surveys about different fields within the area of interest of UNOPS as mentioned in the UNDAF.
