Role:
• Undertaking activities related to:
o Maintenance of networks and systems for FEWA, UAE
o Administration of Windows Systems including Windows XP, 7 8 & 8.1, 2003, 2008 & 2012 Servers
o Setting up of Network Shares & FTP Servers for users sharing documents/data on local network
• Responsible for:
o Adding user to Active Directory and setting up group policies as required
o Lead the migration of systems from Windows XP and 7 to Windows 8.1, with minimal impact to Client.
o Provided training to users on new OS for proper use of new system.
o Analyzing & testing software and hardware for compatibility with Windows.
• Looking after installation & configuration of:
o Desktops, laptops, outlook/e-mails, laptops, tablets, Smartphone’s printers, scanners and networks
o SAP GUI and Windows XP, 7 & Windows 8 as & when required
• Working on antivirus solutions like Symantec Endpoint Security, Avast Internet Security, etc.
• Supervising network quality/bandwidth to prevent downtime and liaising with Network Team regarding network failure
• Conducting Regular PM on all Client systems and other IT hardware.
• Provided recommendation to client for system upgrades when required.

Highlights:
• Successfully provided IT support for 1 main office & 2 remote sites amounting to 500+ users using combination of remote and onsite support as situation arises
• Played a key role in managing migration of systems from Windows XP & 7 to Windows 8 Operating System
• Merit of receiving appreciation from Customer for contribution in smooth transition of users to Windows 8 environment.
• Essayed a stellar role in ensuring administration of Windows Systems which helped in improving End User Experience.
• Distinction of handling activities related to installation & configuration of Windows Systems.
• Used the Assyst Ticketing / service monitoring tool. Followed the ISO 20000:1 guidelines for ITSM.
