Project is consists of four towers (20 & 24 floors with 5 basements) and other seven buildings ( R&D building, Incubator building, Electronic Library building, Central Services building, Health Club and Clinic building and Mosque). All buildings are with full facilities of MEP systems.
Reporting to Project Manager, Monitoring, controlling and issuing instruction to engineers and inspectors, coordinating with other disciplines and HSE.
My responsibility to supervise, inspect, commissioned and test MV switchgear, transformers, generators, Distribution panel boards, Earthing & low current systems e.g. fire alarm, security, communication systems, EIB lighting control system. To review and response to technical query raised by contractor. Review of percentage completion and progress invoices. Issuing job site instructions and NCRs, field memos, monitoring of manpower to achieve target dates, review and monitoring of Master Schedule of completion, procurement schedules and progress / activity schedules, Coordination with BMS system to integrate all system at single workstation
Coordination with mechanical services, structures, architecture and HSE
Monitoring of work progress and quality assurance procedures, procurement procedures, delivery of material at site, manpower availability etc.
Laisning with client and contractor, negotiation of change orders and variation orders
Representation in weekly technical meeting, conducting meeting with entire team of engineers and inspectors and issuing guidelines for follow up at site as well, negotiating and providing solution for site issue
Project was a huge residential project by Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Company consisting of different types of residential villas and multi storey buildings, two MV (GIS) substation, pumping station for water supply and drainage, over bridges with facilities of school, hospital, and civil defense facilities.
Coordinate work to meet Project goals, while directing the work of the designers on behalf of the client. Over look the design team, provide engineering solution.
Act as a project team leader controlling all aspect of the works including Planning, administration, engineering, commercial, site execution works, documentation and hand over to the client.
Coordination and interaction with client and clearing of all engineering issues, resolving engineering disputes between client and contractors and sub-contractors
Working very close to Project managers and client, interfacing with contractor and utilities
To coordinate with main program, study of design drawings; tender documents; bid analysis; participation in kick off meeting, weekly progress meeting, technical meeting; follow up progress of project (MEP only); review of monthly progress report and progress payments; follow up of quality control etc.
Review of design drawings from designer and feeding input to get deliverable to client.
Review of tender documents (drawings, BOQ and specifications) prior to issue to contractors for biddings.
Bid analysis and selection of contractors.
Participation in Kick off meeting with awarded contractor. Participation in weekly progress meeting and procurement meeting
Delegate work to the project team and monitor the progress to completion.
Ensure that the works are completed on time, notifying the management of any delays and valuing the costs associated with the delays.
Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of the project.
Investigate the project planning and review of progress against targets set.
Establish the project construction methodology with the project team.
Co-ordinate the work of all in-house staff, suppliers and sub contractor
Ensure instructions are delivered for additional work and agree the value agreed with contractors through consultant.
The project was residential having different types of residential facilities mainly villa and high rise buildings including one park, one mosque, elementary school and one shopping mall. I was sole responsible for quality control of high-rise buildings (87 Nos.).
My responsibility to follow up quality control; review of methods statement; review of material submittal; participation in weekly system representation, progress meeting and procurement meetings; review of all technical query and response to it; issuing instruction to sub ordinates for quality control at site, preparation of non confirmation report and review of remedy proposal from contractor; review of test schedule for power system of buildings, witness to electrical tests, preparation of snag list, participation in substantial completion of systems building by building and handover it to client.

The Company is mainly involved in real state business. I joined them with all above-mentioned projects were started already. Apart from above my responsibility was to control all MEP activities such as:-
a) Monitoring, Review & approval of workshop drawing and evaluating cost impact.
b) Monitoring, Review and approval of Electro - Mechanical materials and cost control accordingly.
c) Monitoring, Review and monitoring of Activity Schedule, Progress Schedule & Manpower Schedule.
d) Representing as an Electro - Mechanical Engineer in Weekly meeting.
e) Preparing inquiry for materials, review of offer, preparation of comparison statement, negotiation with suppliers and preparing LOI / P.O. after finalization.
f) Inspection of delivered material, its storage and supply to the contractor at required time.
g) Monitoring of Contractors activity.
h) Co - ordination with Contractors and Consultants.
i) Monitoring and attending routine inspection and conducting inspection as per Contractors RFI.
The Centria mall building was fully facilitated with all system of electro-mechanical systems and having two sub station having four transformer of 1000KVA each, four chillers of 300TR capacity. All electro-mechanical systems (lighting and power distribution, UPS power supply, fire alarm system, MATV, CCTV, sound system, data network, telephone network, Access control, water services-supply, drainage and storm water, HVAC, Chilled water system, fire fighting system and BMS) were installed. Apart from these building was facilitated with standby generator, Reverse Osmosis unit of 100 cubic meters per day, window cleaner machine, elevator and escalators. Apart from these I was also involve in approval of design for new coming projects.

DETAILS:
Falcon Center (Hospital Building) was full facilitated with the modern system having total cost of $12 Millions. MODA project cost was $ 04 Millions and Eye Hospital project cost was $ 05 Millions. Projects consisting of the following systems:-
a) Lighting and Power distribution.
b) Data and Voice Communication system.
c) Low Current (CATV, MATV & Fire Alarm System)
d) Public Address System.
e) Multi Media System (Only at Falcon Center)
f) Access Control and Electronic Door Control System.
g) Grounding and Lightning Protection System.
h) Routine inspection of the ready work-piece and getting approval from client.
Responsibility
Worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Prince Fahad Bin Sultan Falcon Center at Salboukh Road, my main responsibility was as follows:-
a) Preparation of Budget for the project and preparation of drawing and materials schedule.
b) Preparation of workshop drawing and extracting bill of materials accordingly and to get approval of drawings & materials.
c) Preparation inquiries, negotiation with suppliers, preparation of appraisals and preparation of purchase orders.
d) Preparation of time Schedule, Activities Schedule, Daily Activity Report, Weekly and Monthly Program.
e) Preparation of Variation Orders and Change Orders.
f) Selection of Sub - Contractors and preparation of their agreement.
g) Representation in Weekly meeting with Client and Consultant.
h) Co - ordination with others related activities such as HVAC, Pump Rooms and Elevators,
i) Preparation of Monthly Invoices & Bidding for new Projects.
j) Conducting routine inspection as requested by contractor and quality control.

Responsibility:
Projects consisting of 11 storey’s with modern facilities having their own Electrical Power sub- stations having two transformers of 1000 KVA. Al -Jumiah residential compound having three full facilitated villas having cost of $5Millions
a) Preparation of workshop drawing and extracting bill of material.
b) Load Calculation, preparation of load schedule and determination of Cable Sizes for Panel boards and services.
c) Preparation of materials schedule required for site execution & daily report.
d) Execution of all Electrical works for Lighting, Power & Low Current System.
e) Earthing and Lightning protection.
f) Cable Laying and Preparation of Monthly Invoices.
g) At Al Salah Coomerical building all MEP installation was carried out under my control and main system in building was Power Distribution, Lighting system, Data and Telecom system, Fire alarm system, Public address system, Access control and CCTV security system, grounding and lightning protection system, drainage and water supply system & HVAC system.
