Responsibilities as Cost Control Engineer:
-Reported to the Project Manager & led a team of three employees with a junior cost control engineer to analyze major cost variances & advise on project management to respective site staff for timely corrective actions as per the defined key performance parameters.
-Issued cost report to managing office as well as issued productivity report on mechanical, civil, and E&I areas to control work performance
Responsibilities as Senior Piping Engineer:
-Reported to the Project Manager & led a team of 250 employees including 2 junior piping engineer to streamline all processes to control piping and support fabrication to
build Habshan 5 NGL process plant, Abu Dhabi, UAE in accordance with procedures, specifications, drawings, & schedule priorities and establish procedures as per the set key performance parameters
-As in Charge, interfaced with client GASCO, maintained proper documentation and control,
-Liaised with main contractors JTJV- JGC/ Tecnimont joint venture and other disciplines on site to resolve technical problems
Responsibilities as Field Mechanical Engineer
-Reported to the Project Manager & led a team of 180 worker, 10 supervisors & foremans, to supervise piping erection over pipe racks, and managed steel structural assembly/ installation of bridges & sub-racks in Shell PGTL project, Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar, for client Royal Dutch Shell Company to meet targets in line with the key performance objectives
-Coordinated with client representatives & monitored material delivery of all piping and structural materials
-Engaged in piping fabrication and welding of around 54000 inch diameter conforming to various material codes and heat numbers
-Acting as a section engineer allocated sufficient manpower, equipments and cranes while ensuring safe environment for workers by abiding to HSSE regulations to maintain record of incident and injury free work environment
-Interfaced with main contractor- KBR and JGC to align and test vendor piping and nozzle connections
Achievements:
-Successfully applied industry best practises to build the world’s largest of its kind gas to liquid plant, comprising upstream gas production facilities & GTL plant to produce 140, 000 barrels/ day
-As in charge, instrumental in deftly constructing 8 fabrication shops that involved structural frame assembly, cladding, ventilation & overhead crane erection, instrument & machines arrangements- bending, miller, plasma, rollers, cutting & welder machines; some miscellaneous work; & underground piping installation
-Made noteworthy contribution to fabricate 180 ton steel structure for ATC Air Traffic Control in Qatar Airport, including 4 buildings- radio receiver, transmitter, metrological, and passage way (Sep 2008- Jan 2009)
