Managing, directing and coordinating the Applications and infrastructure technology activities of one or more clients. This includes managing and delivering high performance services in a 24/7 enterprise, performing timely operational assurance readiness, evaluating technology, and producing service improvements
Responsible for delivery of all high value application services directly to one or more clients, this includes promoting customer/client satisfaction through efficient, effective delivery of application services.
Many Applications upgrades and enhancements have been successfully accomplished during this period.
1. Responsible for the analysis, design, development, test, documentation, deployment and support of GIS technical solutions for Injazat and clients which provide optimum compliance with requirements and business rules.
2. Interact with the client to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction.
3. Support all aspects of the business cycle including proposals, implementations and on-going maintenance.
4. Serve as a GIS technical solution subject matter expert in specific GIS technical components and development standards.
5. Act as a focal point for general and component specific GIS technical solutions including analysis, design, build, testing, documentation and training.
6. Resolve escalated help desk calls utilizing all applicable Injazat tracking, resolution and escalation tools and processes within defined timeframes.
ADWEA GIS Platform Maintenance:
Providing technical support to ADWEA (Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority) and its companies and concentrating on the key components of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management which involve support from external entities - ESRI (Environmental System Research Institute) and TM&M (Telvent Miner & Miner) - for assistance with diagnosis and resolution of incidents.
ADWEA (Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority) GIS Platform Expansion and Upgrade project: ESRI (Environmental System Research Institute) Arc GIS migration from 8.2 to 9.1. Upgraded, enhanced and developed several applications including :
• EACOS (Electronic Application of Clearance of Services): Designed and developed to provide an automated solution for clearance processes at ADDC (Abu Dhabi Distribution Company) utilizing the ADWEA GIS. The application allows an automated, centralized and streamlined clearance application process that enables the electronic flow of data among multiple ADDC divisions and sections that participate in the approval of clearances.
• OMS (Outage Management System): A Desktop trouble-call management and dispatch system. It features a Call Analysis Engine that operates as a central server, receiving and analyzing all trouble calls. This program is designed to provide the most up-to-date information and ADWEA can provide better service and response to Electric and Water outages.
• SPMT (System Performance Monitoring Tool): Provides ADWEA GIS administrator, as well as other concerned users with the necessary tools to monitor the performance and usability of the identified GIS applications. The application also provides reporting tools to assist the GIS administrator in further analysis and monitoring of the applications performance and utilization, as well as the GIS system.
• Analysis and Design: I was involved in both the requirement and follow-up meetings with the client related to the aforementioned applications. I equally conducted the required analysis that resulted with the official design documents being produced as a basis for the development of these applications.
• Training: I have also been involved in the training track of the project as I prepared, documented and lectured several OUS (Onsite User Support) and training sessions for ADWEA, ADDC and AADC (Al Ain Distribution Company) users.
Worked on several applications including GIS Server and Clearances Management (EACOS). Design, program, test and install applications for GIS (Geographical Information System). Using VB, VB.NET, ESRI ArcObjects and Oracle.
Completed The Military Service as a Lieutenant and served as an administrator officer in the systems and analysis department at the Lebanese Ministry of Defense.
Designed, developed, tested and published intranet web applications for HR, sales, accounting, etc using ASP, ASP.NET and SQL:
• Cash Count: Web based application that is divided into:
1-Cashier Section: Allows the cashiers in different branches to submit the information of the amount of their cash and check register on a daily basis.
2-Finance Section: Acts as an administrator on all cashiers. Monitors, updates and utilizes data provided by cashiers to generate various financial reports that allows managers to sketch the company’s future fiscal strategies.
This application was used by more than 30 computers in 10 branches distributed over the Lebanese territory and managed the daily workflow and transactions of each branch independently in addition to all company-wide financial control operations.
• Reporting Tools: Set of different reports that utilized the data generated from “Cash Count” to reflect the current financial standing and situation of the company.
Exposed to various branch operations namely: Teller, Customer Service and Back Office.
Exposed to various Systems Department operations which include Maintenance & Support for all the Hotel’s Computer and Digital systems for both Hotel’s Offices and Guest Rooms.
