Maintenance Manager

Basic Function:
Responsible for the maintenance and preservation of mechanical and electrical equipment in the furnaces such as Float Plant and Patterned Glass line; directing, coordinating and controlling of all activities involved in the design, installation and repair of all equipment in the plant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review from time to time the submitted round sheets and maintenance checklist of the maintenance crew and follow-up necessary improvements/corrections as noted.
Handles the design and implementation for repair, improvement and new equipment installation covering my areas of responsibilities.
Conducts quarterly orientation and trainings for mechanical and electrical technicians.
Review stock level of spare parts for each equipment according to actual usage.
Conduct from time to time personal inspections of plant’s equipment.
Prepare project activities and project schedules for the cold repair of an existing float furnace and patterned glass line. This includes sourcing of prospective contractors and suppliers for the job.
Handle analysis and troubleshooting of various electrical equipment and controllers.
Handle design for new mechanical/electrical installations including cost estimation
Member of the ISO Internal Quality Auditors of the company.
Engineering Division Head July 1983 - May 2006
Basic Function:
Responsible for short, medium and long term planning, directing, coordinating and controlling of all activities involved in the design, installation and repair and in the maintenance and preservation of all equipment in the plant. As member of middle management, also involve in the annual planning of the company towards economic profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare annual key performance target for the Division to support the company’s corporate mission.
Handle entire electrical activities in the cold repair of the existing furnace from conception to implementation in close coordination with Japanese engineers.
Review and approve preparation of plans, sketches, schedules and materials all in accordance with the standard practices set by the company.
Review from time to time the manning requirements of the division based on prevailing plant operation and condition.
Review annual preventive maintenance schedule based on corporate mission and budget.
Attend and set coordination meeting with internal customers to share common understanding of activities and problems.
Conduct from time to time personal inspections of plant’s equipment.
Attend and report to management the monthly performance of Engineering Division.
Review project activities and project schedules for the cold repair, expansion and modernization of an existing float furnace
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Furnace equipment, glass processing equipment and utility equipment such as deepwells, boiler air compressors, fuel transfer pumps, reverse osmosis (R.O.) plant, cooling towers, substations (HV, MV, LV), power transformers and power generators. Also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of telephonies, computer and network operations and office air conditioning system.
Graduated Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with weighted average of 2.85. Consistent in the Top Ten honer Roll during high school (secondary school).
