The mission was to provide preservation of the cultural and historical heritage sites located on the territory of Tuva. Hundreds of volunteers from all around the world were selected to help professional archaeologists. The project was supervised by the President of the Russian Geographical Society Sergey Shoigu (current Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation).
