Job profile:
Leadership for the Oman quality function to ensure quality within the region.
Responsible for collaborating with the Geo-Zone manager & country team, the Product Lines, and the Service Delivery function to guide our overall Quality efforts.
Provided leadership for quality activities related to ISO and API Q2 certifications, owned the consolidated audit plan, ensuring the Quality program is executed to deliver optimum service to the customer, provides Quality support and leadership for the customer, and strives to continually improve the performance of the quality program through implementing root cause analyses (RCA) and other continuous improvement techniques (CAPAR).
Responsible for reaching annual goals through delegation to subordinates, cross-functional team members, or performing the duties personally.
OPERATIONAL CAPABILITY
• Conduct annual Quality Management reviews inclusive of all relevant functions at the country level as well as for each relevant ISO/API certification area
• Lead the investigation team for post-service quality events and ensures compliance with RCA and incident closure with the client; ensures Root cause analyses are resources adequately, root causes are defined, and corrective/containment/preventative actions are identified and addressed in an effective and timely manner
• Ensure audit findings, CPAR actions, and non-conformances are reviewed and analyzed to address corrective and preventative actions in an effective and timely manner
• Develops, communicates, and monitors quality measures / KPIs
• Coordinate with functional and site leaders to establish quality goals, monitor progress, and ensure a consistent quality message and approach
• Holds country cross-functional leaders accountable to drive quality objectives through their organizations
• Maintains an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement, and an active contribution to teamwork concepts
• Coordinates with the Supplier Quality team and Sourcing to ensure suppliers are appropriately qualified
• Identify resources to assist in audits and root cause analyses; ensure they are trained and competent to complete audits and/or facilitate root cause analyses
• Collaborate with Product Lines to ensure all calibrations are done in a timely manner
• Central contact with the customer regarding country quality concerns
• Responsible for monitoring and controlling on-time completion of quality activities within budget
• Execute other quality tasks as requested by the country head or the Geo-zone Quality Manager
CLIENT COMMUNICATION
• Interacts with both internal and external customers with regards to quality on behalf of Weatherford
• Interacts closely with product lines and functions to effectively execute the quality program, understand, and address specific quality issues, and identify improvements to the program
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
• Hires, trains, and develops quality personnel on the Quality program and tools
• Ensures quality personnel are professionally developing and competent for their role

• Assist to Construction Manager in managing contract QA/QC requirements
• Establish internal audit procedures to verify compliance with company’ own QMS (ISO9001) and IMS.
• Review company Quality Plan to meet the requirements of the project
• Regularly review company Quality Plan and update if / when required
• Review Quality Plan, ITP prepared by the Contractor
• Assist the PAW during quality audit of Contractor and EPE quality plans
• Carry out regular quality audits of the Contractor’s quality plan and professional services
• Review monthly Quality Assurance Data required to be presented to client PAW/DIAM/OWWSC
• Organize, prepare, and carry out regular Quality Meetings, Quality Reviews, Quality Walks, vendor visits, Quality Trainings of company and the Contractor’ staff and Quality Inductions.
• Provide monthly quality control statistics including its trend review.
• Issue site instruction, NCR including review and closeout of the same.
- Define and update the organisation dedicated to Technical Management of I&F services in Oman.
Implement I&F Technical Direction requirements for international services (initial and on-going training, qualifications, methodology, deliverable, supervision, mapping of competences…)
Implement the specific requirement for some large clients.
- Disseminate to every BV inspector the technical information elaborated by I&F Technical Direction or by themselves.
Quality:
- Manage license to operate (in relationship with Technical), Populate and maintain accreditation, Manage key Accreditation Bodies, Coordinate audit program.
- Coordinate internal and external audit programs, Develop audits programs and train auditors, Execute and follow-up.
- Maintain and improve Quality performance, Deploy Quality policy, train and support management (e.g. monitoring…). Complete analysis of non-performance and propose corrective actions with management and ensure follow up. - -
- Track and report Quality performance.
- Design and maintain the Quality management system, Map and update business processes and procedures, Define and follow-up KPI’s associated to business processes. Ensure business processes are accessed, understood and complied with. Identify and disseminate good practises.
- Customer’s satisfaction management, Introduction of analysis and follow-up tools (APM, Aramis …). Increase awareness of costs and risks of poor performance and non-compliance.
Risk:
- Identifies major risks that could affect the organisation in its operations and profitability through continuous spanning of environment for risks, prevention evolutions, etc.
- Offers the local office with technical and juridical advice to reduce risks of new or existing missions, designs methodology to help write contracts and is reference for claims at country level.
- Negotiates and manages financial coverage and insurances with regard to professional risks, optimises insurances coverage, has a global approach (including cost of prevention, insurances, loss) manages risk financials.
- Reports data on risk management at upper level, ensures transparency of communication, promotes risk management culture, contributes to policy definition.
HSE:
- Responsible for the implementation of effective HSE Management systems and process to reduce work related accidents and illnesses of BV employees, visitors and contractors as well as reducing our footprint on the environment.
- Works with the Management Team to assist them to improve their operations, activities and performance related to HSE. He performs the job in the framework of the BV HSE Management processes, the BV Code of Ethics and appropriate Group Policies. Monitoring QHSE Capabilities behavior, Near Miss and Reports.
Provides technical advice to the surveyors and when required acts as project manager where he will be the interlocutor between the client and assigned surveyors and other Bureau Veritas units as required (Technical Centre, Head Office or other Bureau Veritas office).
- Deal with all topics to be covered by Bureau Veritas within the frame of the contract; he will participate in the selection of required surveyors and will report systematically on the job progress as well as all sales and expenses directly related to the project.
- Verify that surveyor or auditor is provided with sufficient technical information to fulfil their duties. In particular assuring that proper technical information (Specialised BV Procedure, Code or Standard, Technical Specification, etc.) is available to perform the mission of the surveyors.
Centralises market information of the concerned Industry in BV and together with Country Chief Executive Act as a correspondent between Bureau Veritas and the Client or any other concerned organization outside Bureau Veritas. Assist CE directing marketing and sales within INDUSTRY. Identify new clients and assure contact and sales process is accomplished.
- Reviewing manning of concerned INDUSTRY Business line including qualification of surveyors and makes recommendations to Chief Executive for Oman concerning new recruitment and staff training.
- Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Oman HSE Policies and procedures, client’s HSE procedures and practices.
- Ensuring compliance with international and local statutory, industrial and legal requirements and Group guidelines, including Ethics, Technical, Quality and Risk management.
Develop, Implement and Maintain QMS for an EPCM organisation involving Oil& Gas, Power & Utility Industry in Oman
Carrying out Quality Management System Audits as per ISO 9001
Identify, Develop, Maintain efficient QHSE Management system for an EPC organisation involved in Power Transmission, Distribution and Oil & Gas Industry.
Nature of Job performed:
Inspection and Testing of various Industrial products, Design Verification, Project Management & QA/QC work for turnkey projects, Valuation of Imported Engineering goods on behalf of Director General of Foreign Trade, India.
Review, verify and endorse Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Tender document and Co-ordination of Inspectors.
Projects handled (In India):
• Inspection of Water and wastewater treatment plant equipment from 13 countries for Al Ansab STP project (Galfar- VA Tech JV.) for Muscat Oman.
• Inspection of CI/DI/GRP Pipes, FRC Manhole door as per BIS Standards.
• Second party/ Thirty party inspection of various engineering products
• Inspection of Safety and Slurry Valves at Tyco Valves, Chennai for Alcan Gove - G3 expansion project, Australia. Cargos for Indian Customs as per Foreign Trade (DGFT) Regulations.
Nature of Job performed:
Identification of Projects, Preparation of Tenders document, Material take-off (MTO), receiving quotations from vendors, identifying sub-contractors and selection of Suppliers.
Monitoring day-to-day execution of work by giving instructions to site engineers and reviewing daily progress with sub-contractors, solving site problems if any arises and attending site meeting with clients/authorities.
Writing letters to clients/consultants/dept. authorities regarding any hindrance at the site to record for the future references in case if any arbitration arises.
Co-ordinate with other service agencies/officials to make sure that the progress is smooth for timely completion of the project.

To carry out the inspection on imported elevator equipment as per the QAP and Purchase order placed to the OEM from overseas and local vendors, monitoring erection of lifts as per drawing/QCP, selection of sub- contractors, coordinating with Clients, consultants, other service providers and Govt. authorities. Liaise with sales and purchase departments on new projects and maintenance contract during preparation of tenders. Attending site progress meetings, writing letters on relevant quality matters to other service provider to avoid hindrances, preparation of punch list, local authority forms for statutory inspection and handing over to client.
