Key Areas:
• Leading a team of Commercial/Contracts/Procurement Manager, Quantity Surveyors for Pre/Post Contract Services which includes design validation, cost check, value engineering, cost reduction, tender evaluation including contractual advice as required for negotiating the contract terms variations, claims, engineer determination, disputes, and correspondences.
Expert Witness Report for the Party Appointed Expert
• Expert Witness Report for in the matter of an Arbitration under ‘Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), CASE No. 206-2021 for a dispute (AED 9.70 Million) in between the Main Contractor and Subcontractor. Attended online hearing as the Respondent’s Expert Cross-Examination on 19th July 2023.

• Lusail Crescent Hotel (Five star and Six Star) consists of iconic 36 Story Twin Towers of luxury classification comprising B02, B01 + Podium + G + Mezzanine + F01 - F36 including iconic top of towers. (QAR 4.50 billio which includes Superstructure, Façade, BOH, FOH, FF&E, Landscape, External Works, Marine and associated MEP Works) Key Areas:
• Managed the commercial and contractual activities on construction projects including payments, cost reporting, review and resolution of variations, extension of time claims,
• Review the performance/ security bond, the advance bank guarantee & insurance submitted by the Contractors.
• Managed the resolution of day-to-day contract administration to advise engineers, contract administrators and quantity surveyor.
• Managing the commercial meetings and commercial workshops (bi-wee or monthly as per the site requirements). Dispute Avoidance
• Advise for the disputes between the Employer and the Contractor/ Main Contractor and Nominated Subcontractor in various situations situation such as discrepancies in the Contract Documents, Scope Gap, Under priced items by unprofessional contractors, and any Errors and Omissio prior to sign the Contract. Expert Witness Report for the Employer
• Tender Adjustment Schedule/Provisional Sum (QAR 63Million) - In this dispute, there was diferent of opinion in between the Employer and the Contractor. I prepared an expert witness report for the Employer which helps the Employer to resolve this dispute by amicable settlement.
