Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of thirteen(13) gas turbine coupled generators ( GE Frame 6) each with a capacity of 35 MW and the associated 132KV/33KV/6.6KV/415V Double Bus Indoor Substations and other auxiliary equipment using ELICS for Power Generation Control and for Electrical Distribution System and GE Mark VI Speedtronics for Gas Turbine Controls. Within the Panel (Control Room), ELICS provide the Generation control to the Gas Turbine Generators, Transformers and the Import line from National Grid (Kahramaa). ELICS controls the sharing of active and reactive power among the generators and tie-lines.
Participated in the commissioning and finally, be responsible for the operation of 4 gas turbine coupled generators with HRSG (GE Frame 6) each with a capacity of 35MW and the associated 33KV double bus substation. ELICS and GE Mark VI Speedtronics are also used in the control of both electrical distribution system and gas turbine controls. The 4 new gas turbine coupled generators with HRSG provide both power and steam for the new megatrains Train 6 and Train 7 of RasGas.
Responsible for the proper operation of twelve units of Macchi water tube steam generating unit (Boiler) each rated at 145, 000kg/hr and their associated auxiliary equipment.
Directly reporting to the Shift Supervisor.
Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of five(5) gas turbine coupled generators ( Alstom 13E2) and its 275KV Double Bus Indoor Substation with a total capacity of 900MW and other auxiliary equipment using ABB Egatrol for controls. Operation of the substation is done within the Control Room. Reports directly to the Shift Incharge Engineer.
Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of two (2) Francis type hydro turbine generators ( 2 - VATech-Siemens Hydro Turbine) and its 230 kV Ring Bus Substation with a total capacity of 150 MW using Prokon LSX as MMI. Operation of the 230kV Substation is integrated with Prokon LSX and the operation of the Substation i.e. Opening/Closing of Switchgear is done through the MMI. Reports directly to the Operations Team Leader.
Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of six (6) combined cycle gas turbine coupled generators ( 6 - Siemens Gas Turbine V84.3, triple pressure condensing Siemens Steam Turbine, in a single shaft arrangement, a triple pressure HRSG) and its 230 kV Substation (The substation uses Breaker and Half scheme and Operation of the substation is done in the Control Room i.e. Opening/Closing of switchgears, Grounding) with a total capacity of 1500 MW using Teleperm XP as MMI. Reports directly to the Shift Charge Engineer.
Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of four (4) gas turbine coupled generators ( 3 - Westinghouse W501B4 and 1 - Westinghouse W501D5) and its 115 kV breaker and a half scheme substation with a total capacity of 300MW and other auxiliary equipment using PLC based Trisen 500, Wonderware Intouch v 7.0 for MMI, Westinghouse Distributed Processing Family (WDPF) for controls and reports directly to the Shift Charge Engineer.
Control for the 115kV Breaker and Half substation is done within the Control Room. Automatic Generation Shedding Scheme is integrated with the control system for the 115kV substation.
