•Supervise physical execution of electrical work by contractors based on the contractual documents, and reports to the Sr. Electrical Engineer for corrective action, in case any defaults occur.
• Coordinate sub-contractors within my area, monitor their performance and report any concerns.
• Safely operate, maintain and repair Mechanical and Electrical plant and equipment including water, heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
• Checks and recommends on approval of electrical materials and electrical sub-contractors/suppliers of projects in coordination with Senior Project Engineers, and reports to Sr. Electrical Engineer.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and plumbing diagnostic fault finding to plant, equipment and sanitary ware to identify causes and implement resolutions quickly and efficiently.
• Actively communicate with clients to ensure any concerns are dealt with or report to Management if out of your line of responsibility.
• Identify additional works of improvement and upgrades within contracts and report directly to Management.
• Maintain all relevant documentation to the highest standard - Work Record Sheets (WRS), Summary and Overtime Sheets, expense claims, purchase card and fuel card returns.
• Keep the helpdesk updated on all allocated reactive works - collate and return weekly PPM sheets, on-going call-out details, site contract listings, site addresses.
• Provide detailed written service reports, ensure maintenance log books are clear and legible, report any non-compliant issues, assist in corrective actions, report accidents and near misses.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Management and colleagues, attend and contribute to staff appraisals, mentor less experienced colleagues, maintain all personal and vehicle records.

My daily duties:
- supervise the activities of the building planned maintenance team and to ensure that the planned preventative maintenance tasks are carried out to the required quality standards.

- ensure that all service areas, plant rooms, inspection cupboards etc. are maintained in pristine condition at all times.
- assist the Building Services Manager with the inspection and testing of the fire and life safety systems.
- prepare schedules of all defects on plant, services, building structure etc. and to progress the necessary remedial action in liaison with the Building Services Manager.
- assist with the preparation of specifications and recommendations for works or modifications to existing services, plant and equipment as requested from time to time.
